Derek Jeter card now that he’s HOF?

I know The Show didn’t have Jeter’s rights which is why there’s never been a Jeter card, but don’t they have a deal with MLB which gives them rights to members of the Hall of Fame? Curious if anyone knows - fingers crossed.

I don’t think that’s how it works. I think the player has to be a part of the players association or sell their rights to sds

It's not that simple. If it was then we would have Ty Cobb, Randy Johnson, Joe Dimaggio and other big Hall of Famers this year.

Think about it. If they had rights to hof players, there would be a lot more legends in the game. So uncross your fingers. Jeter wouldn't be an elite card in this game anyway.

Paul Molitor with some higher contact

They do get players from the HoF. but its not as simple as "you paid the fee, here you go".
the player has to opt in to the hall representing him, then its up to who is asked for(which sds does good with our suggestions) who they make available and to the negotiators.
In any event, all this takes place during the offseason before the game comes out, so its very unlikely to see new inductees the same year. -
If they do Jeter, with the amount of people asking, my guess is he will be a cover athlete and not simply a card in the game; just my opinion though.
