Baseball is a game where the team dynamic can really come into play and affect how a team performs on the field. Think about what a veteran hitter or pitcher brings to a team of young, talented hitters or pitchers. They may not bring the same level of play they used to, but they often carry a calming demeanor into the clubhouse. This can allow the younger players to learn how to approach the game early on in their careers, whether it's pitching out of a jam, or staying calm in a big at bat.

The Show already utilizes player quirks for LS cards and certain flashback cards, but what about active quirks that when you put the right guys on a team together could give the entire team a +5 contact, clutch, power, or vision boost? On the flip side, pitchers who would boost the starting staff with clutch, K/9, H/9 or the same thing with the bullpen.

One of the biggest complaints with sports games is diversifying rosters. Why not truly make putting together a team in a certain "style" of play advantageous to roster? Make bench players important, even if they aren't being used, by having a guy like Brett Philips there who keeps the "morale" up, so that when you've been struggling all game, you get a stat boost at some point late for a guy with high clutch.

It's an idea, but I'd love to hear thoughts and what this could look like, not just in Franchise mode, but even in something like DD.
