The Sandy Hook comment is perplexing and disturbing.
Prime example of cognitive dissonance. If people don’t want to believe something that will make them uncomfortable, the mind will create a narrative to protect themselves. Unfortunately, they do not have the insight to understand this.

Is this why people will only watching news channels that reinforce what they already believe?

News stations today are controlled on what they can report base on politics it is disgusting what a lot of the news stations have become. It does not matter what side you are on it is bad reporting.

Yup. What’s worse though, is for someone to then get a snippet from Facebook or some other social media platform and consider that to be informative. That’s caused widespread tin foil hats.

“ About the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines
People receiving mRNA COVID-19 vaccines (Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna), especially males aged 12-29 years, should be aware of the possibility of myocarditis (inflammation of the heart muscle) or pericarditis (inflammation of the lining outside the heart) following receipt of mRNA COVID-19 vaccines and the need to seek care if symptoms of myocarditis or pericarditis (such as chest pain, shortness of breath, or palpitations) develop after vaccination.”
For those that say “do your research”, this comes directly from the CVS website prior to scheduling your vaccination. I had Covid back in February and I was only sick for a day or so. I understand that it affects people differently and a different strain could impacts me more so, however, after seeing this disclaimer (especially being a male in the described age range) I decided I would rather take my chances of possibly getting Covid again. I don’t think the virus or vaccine is a conspiracy or anything of that nature, but I made what I think is the best decision is for myself as I believe everyone is entitled to do. I don’t have a problem wearing a mask anywhere that asks, I personally just don’t have 100% trust in the vaccine quite yet. Hating people because they are or aren’t vaccinated is absurd and needs to stop.

Social media is awesome but bad at the same time are we better with or without social media?

We could all benefit from being kind to one another, but each day it seems we’re further and further divided and hateful. This forum is a microcosm, with so many internet tough guys, it’s unreal.

This debate absolutely does not belong here and nothing good will come of this.
Just to add, the hatred that people have for those who CHOOSE not to get vaccinated is insane. It comes out in these posts all the time and is quite disgusting. It seems a high percentage of people who take the vaccine seem to think they are super heroes and are basically in the trenches saving lives. Over 99% survival rate. Stop all the hatred towards your family, friends, neighbors, etc.
You do you buddy. I have no hatred. No empathy either.
That’s fine.
Just curious do you say the same for all those you know who smoke, drink, do drugs, are overweight, and generally don’t take care of themselves? Just asking
Those are life choices that don’t affect anybody else though. Could you say the same for getting vaccinated. Hell if it’s safe enough for Patrick mahomes to get it. It’s safe enough for me. The worlds leading epidemiologists telling you it’s safe but people would rather say it’s gonna turn them into zombies.
About to be World War Z up in this

I agree with the last part, I think people on both sides are scared though and that can make people lash out, there's also a lot of frustration and angry going around these days as well.
I personally got the vaccine but I don't blame anyone who doesn't want to get it and I understand were your coming from. Just because I don't agree with a friend/family member or even stranger doesn't mean that they should be hatted or treated badly. Your choice is yours and that's the way it should be.

It is. Yet the same folks who believe this fundamental right have the opposite opinion when it suits them. Such as in Texas. Those particular people want to control others bodies when it suits them, but claim the right to decide for themselves about a vaccine. So which is it? Does the govt have the right to decide for you when it comes to your health and body or not?

Right or left doesn’t matter anyways neither side wants the best for us as people. Hate to see legends of the game picking sides when neither cares about us. Just to tear people apart from each other.
Bring people together man. No more of this BS by chip.
Dude why are you here posting this? This is a forum about MLBTS 21 and baseball in general. While politics and controversial things leak into this forum as it's inevitable that they do, we try to keep it to a minimum.
And why are you posting this in diamond dynasty? If it needs to be posted in this forum at all, it should go into the off-topic section.
If I had to guess, you posted this in diamond dynasty because you knew that this is the most active section of the forum where you KNEW you would get attention. So you posted it here in the wrong section. Not cool imo.
While I'm not against debate or anything, this forum can be easily stirred up sometimes (no offense to anyone here of course, it happens anywhere), stirring the pot politically doesn't help the climate too much.
It is interesting when you say that you hate to see legends picking sides, when you post something controversial that is going to make people pick sides and fight one another. You say you want to bring people together, but look at the replies to your post—this is doing the opposite, driving people apart and pitting them against each other, making everyone fight each other. It's not cool at all, man.
Just my two cents.

I guess the argument could be that 100% of abortions kill the fetus. If you don’t get the vaccination you are most likely not killing anyone.
And your also calling most Pro-choice people hypocrites because a lot of them are the ones spewing the hate at those who choose not to get vaccinated. Goes both ways

I wasn't saying that at all. Don't put words into my mouth. Or keyboard, in this case. The word "evenly" doesn't appear anywhere. And no one is ever evenly divided over everything—the world isn't black and white, there are always gray areas and middle ground.
What I was saying is that I didn't like how the OP, in my opinion, was inciting people to fight and argue with each other. This forum, which is about a baseball game, just isn't the place for that.
