I understand that. But EVERY single freeze off that I've experienced this year has been when my opponent is the Home the and they confirm that theyre on WiFi.
That's because most people use wifi. That's just how most people's set ups are. Way easier. The majority isn't on monitors at a desk with everything hardwired like me and some others.
I know zero people who play console games or PC that use wifi. Literally zero.
Same here, but I also know that we are in the minority.

Ok... so you know everyone that I know? No. You dont. I KNOW 0 PEOPLE who use wi-fi to game online. It's not hard to setup a hardwire. Install ethernet outlets or if you cant do that just get a powerline adapter.
I'm pretty sure you have a causal co worker that you don't really talk to that has wifi go a head ask every person you know someone will say yes do it do it now

I had a friend who complained about choppiness and lag playing CoD awhile back. I came in with my truck and tools and hardwired his console; night and day.

I use my internet hardwired with good upload and download speeds. Unfortunately my ping is somewhat high and it makes playing this game online difficult at times.

To be honest, I wouldn't say this is an "unpopular opinion", I would say it's an ignorant one. My WiFi is faster than most people's wired connection. I run a MESH wireless network with 3 AP's and get over 600 Mbps on my wifi devices throughout my house. My ping times are very low.

People are aware that there are areas with terrible internet especially out in the boonies. Also, I know plenty that use WiFi. I did for years as my hardwired connection was in our second bedroom until a couple of years ago until I had it moved down to the basement.

Ok, I'll revisit my original post with this: Game ended due to a Friendly Quit and didn't count; so I have no clue what happened.
Now, I have to try to get a win with a Cardinals SP AGAIN or I need to try to see if I can get the 7 inn Wainright pitching mission and Play vs CPU on AS modes to actually work.
Now, the guy messaged me and said he was sorry about the freeze off, but evidently he was in a college dorm, as he said the reason the connection was bad is that other people in the dorm were also playing online and doing school work.
So, IF YOU'RE USING WIFI ABD MULTIPLE PEOPLE ARE ALSO USING THAT SAME SIGNAL, DONT WASTE SOMEONE'S TIME TRYING TO PLAY ONLINE
What it's going to come down to is that I'm going to stop playing online all together and the first time I can't get a certain card, due to this reasoning, I'm hanging it up for the year.
Not worth the frustration.

I’ve had AOL dial up for about 20 years now. I’m hardwired in. I lose connection a lot, always causing freeze offs

you do all the moments they are supper easy or should be I was able to do them all in first try. Then go beat the Cardinals on AS.

That's easy to say when the last few times I tried the 7 inn pitching moment where you can't give up a run; it ended before the 7th inning and the Play vs CPU game has been ending in a Friendly Quit.
Oh that sucks, yeah it is easy to say when it works the way it is suppose for some of us. I had an issue in Show down yesterday, I completed the 2 hits and 1 run and the game ended and said I failed. I took a screen shot but did not report it.

I hate using wifi to play but honestly worked better for this game when I played it. More disconnects yes but hardwired alot more freezes no win situation.
PS No longer play this game since March.
I meant since 3rd in not March.

I use wifi because it's convenient and hardwire didn't make a difference in gameplay online. Lags sometimes on both but rarely. It is just other things to consider.
