Think there has only been one time (maybe 2) that one of my stat players has been intentionally put on and it was a situation that actually made sense.

But honestly, its kind of a terrible approach by putting guys on for no reason. Just because you see a mission player doesn't mean that mission isn't already done. Some guys pop up a ton. I think I used silver Buhner a lot last "season" because I hit well with him.

Pretty sure I had a guy bunt with one of his better players (he was losing and there was no shift) because I had mission P on the mound. Felt like a weird time to do it so I assume they did it so I couldn't get a K but jokes on that guy, I already finished that mission.

Soooooo, I'd really like to get into BR and when I hear you guys talk about how easy it is to get wins. That fact that you would throw meatballs (not all of you) shows an awful lot of confidence, so I'm guessing you're pretty good. I'm pretty good at this game, but I've always struggled with hitting online. I can pitch just fine. Not lights out everytime but good enough to win if I could start hitting.

What advice can you give me about hitting.?

    The issues I have are:

    1. The lag which is minimal really makes it hard to recognize a strike in time.
    2. The PCI is the size of a pencil head.
    3. Nobody throws over the plate....ever. I wish it was easier to recognize it faster, I'd take my walks, but it explodes because of the slight lag.
    4. Everyone uses 99 pitchers with sinkers and outliers.
    5. I'm impatient..I know that's a simple fix, but not as simple as you'd think.

Ok, any advice is appreciated. I don't need to win a ranked season WS, but I'd love to complete the BR path, or even take some bites out of it.

These guys rarely come up for you to pick in the draft and if you do ppl just walk them or straight up bean them so you can’t get the points.

I know I’m probably alone but I when I see a mission stat player come up I throw straight meatballs because I want them to succeed for the simple fact I’ve been fked over so many times. Anyone else wearing this straight jacket??

I’m not for the whole “hit with x player and I’ll quit stuff” but if you get a hit off the meatball then cool

Yeah I think I only completed Griffey Sr, Wilson and Stanton. Stanton was pure luck that I hit a homer in like the only game I had him.

Nah I play the game. No meatballs and no beaning dudes. Just play right and the stats will accumulate with the wins. Stop thinking about it and just play.

Oh I hear you man. Just like to think I might have made someone alil happier since we all get bent over in this game over and over and over

If you're throwing meatballs then you are bending yourself over.

    Ummmmmm 🤔

BR you need wins. If you are giving free hr, xbh, etc you are hurting your own streak/program. To each their own. I hope there's more people like you out there when I play BR.

BR is beyond easy to possibly give up 1 point. Ain’t no one ruining a long streak for it bro

Are you saying you can't ruin a streak by giving up a tank? What do you mean 1 point?

A BR win is worth 1 point

I’m totally with you bro. Don’t care if I get hell from it here in this forum. Stat missions are lame, so I’m down for messages. Opponent and I often have some real good chuckles, become PSN friends, etc out of this hunt for virtual cards. The game is not that serious to have a stick up your [censored].

This. If someone messages me to help them out, I don't see the harm. It's usually "I need X" and then I'll quit.

It seems if they're going to have stat missions based on particular cards in BR, then they should be available to draft in every entry. That's clearly not the case though.

This. I had a gut ask me for two doubles with Ruth, who was batting leadoff, and he would quit. I didn't reply and played the game like I normally would.

Naturally, he got miffed. Bunt danced, held R2, etc. I'm surprised he didn't intentionally hit or walk the two mission players I had in the lineup.

Then after the game, which I won, he send me a bunch of vulgar messages. I just replied back that boosting in against SDS's TOS and he's lucky I don't report him.

Well the main problem is that it's considered boosting and you can get your account banned for that. SDS has banned plenty of people for boosting.

Maybe its because I'm new and at a fairly low level but I've found great success with people being cool with trading quits for stat missions and vice versa.

I never scam and always help out. Without others' help I would not have completed my first BR program this inning.

What was it, back in 17? With Griffey on the cover? They had these huge, almost impossible missions, Hit 2 HRs in game and get a walk with AS Griffey. Before the game would start I don't know how many times I would get messaged with hey...I need this mission, can you help. I would respond with I need this mission. I would throw meatballs for Griffey and once he got his 2 HR, I would walk him. Then they would help me with mine. It happened more often than you think...Then all of a sudden it's turned into this...let's do everything we can to make sure they cannot get the stats!!

I reported those. I meant for boosting to SDS

Yes that was 17 and I think that was my biggest accomplishment in this game was unlocking that Griffey. I think the hardest stat was getting 3 homeruns in one online game. After you got two your opponent would always walk you or bean you. I actually got it done I was so happy.
