What if you like the concept of showdowns but want to see it tweaked to make it less frustrating (cut down on the ESPY-worthy plays by scrub CPU players, make luck less of a factor in general, etc)? Or does that just fall under “quit whining” haha

How are you supposed to get better playing a mode that doesn't reward you for good user input? I absolutely hate when I'm given a Moment on such terrible swings. Showdown is exactly the same. Where is the sense of reward? It's randomly generated. A monkey could beat Showdown

Context is important here. I don't think many people "enjoy" showdowns. But I do love the fact that they make TA programs so easy and efficient to complete. So in that context, I love showdowns yes.

A monkey could beat it but so many people struggle with it. I think that is a product of playing on the lower difficulty, the randomness. I can't wait for SD extreme to see if the randomness reduces drastically.

I do love them in that sense but I wouldn't hate them unless it was just a blank mode with zero benefit from playing them.

People struggle with it because they are not rewarded for it. It drains you. I've been there. Haven't even looked at Showdown this year.
I won't even try the extreme stuff. Also, if you play online a lot I think Showdown and grinding the CPU give you bad habits

After 1 hour, I think the statement "Everybody hates Showdowns" is proving false but time will tell. I think that the max votes for a free poll is 100, that should give us a pretty good idea.Quit whining
