Remember DD's commentary is chopped to accomadate fast play.
so they either broke down longer commentary or recorded a bunch of short lines and the cpu doesnt patch them in very well.

I'm a Franchise Mode player & my opinions derive from there.

Cpu doesnt put the lines together well there either, in addition to the brodcasters not reading the script before recording it, not protesting the asinine comments they just recorded, and it receiving only minimal attention in several years

Agree. Mark DeRosa comes across like Chris Farley in Tommy Boy in this game.

My favorite is : (muffled audio) "Big fastball is definitely this guy's MO"

Would someone please get Dan out of the maintenance closet...

I really wish leagues and teams would get away from using former players. Many of them are terrible. Please and DeRosa to me are not good, the few times I’ve caught them in games. As a Jays fan I have to listen to the duo that loves to repeat each other non stop, Pat Tabler and Buck Martinez. That’s why I always love when they get Dan Shulman to kick one of them out from time to time.

The commentary really needs a revamp, too much repetition. Make it seem more natural.

I agree with the lines not being synced well by the computer. In my RTTS I hit a towering no doubt homer into the upper deck and DeRosa is talking about how I crushed this as I circle the bases, but in the next at bat he says in his last at bat he hit a "wall scraper". I don't know about you, but a 445 foot homer into the next to last row of the upper deck in Miami is a "wall scraper". Once I finish my first RTTS since 2006 I plan on turning commentary off completely.

Don Sutton sadly passed away in January. He was a fantastic radio announcer for the Braves. That said, I agree with you in general about players in the booth.

MLB Network's group of former players are cringeworthy announcers. Also their in-studio crew must snort cocaine before they go on air they're so inane.

Put the dimwitted former ballplayers with a limited grasp of the English language out to pasture. Give me the likes of Jim Powell & Chip Caray any day.

I miss the old days when Ernie Harwell was in the booth.

While we may not see it that often, has anyone ever mentioned that a 3-2 changeup is nearly impossible to hit?

Commentary sucks in the vast majority of sports games so the show isn't unique when it comes to that. Most of the time I just put on headphones and listen to music while I play anyway. This is pretty much at the very bottom of my concerns.

Must suck for you guys playing with commentary on.....I never play with it on, I like to play a baseball game not pretend I'm watching it on TV...the natural sounds of baseball is all I need.
