I agree... this is a really good sports game and DD is better than other team building modes I've played. The only issue I have is the bizarre things that happen in online games like... catcher freezing during steals, bad contact hits, ect. The game definitely plays better offline and should be the same.

I have issues with the game as a middling-at-best DD player, but all in all, it is a very good game. yes, there is a learning curve that needs to be overcome, but it's very fun and rewarding.

I just got done defending the game from someone who said the game gets worse every year but the graphics were slightly disappointing on next gen which will hopefully see more of a true next gen upgrade with 22. Outside of the fluky non squared up homeruns and bloop [censored] hits which have been an issue since they switched to the ball physics hitting engine, this years game saw some great improvements especially with check swings and pinpoint which they actually improved with the patch.
How have check swings been fixed? I get it, check swings last year were an absolute disaster, but this year its just as bad except flipped. Please explain to me how this company can't figure out what constitutes a checked swing in baseball? You barely flinch now and it's a checked swing.

This game is horrendous. I’m sick of people sticking up for SDS. Content is the only thing that has saved this game since 19. SDS is producing [censored] just like EA, because they know there isn’t a better option.

Content is good, and they deserve praise for making it easy to build good/great teams without spending money on stubs.
Gameplay is not good. Played for 4 years now and it's never been close to good. The field plays so small that it's HRs or nothing.
This may be the best sports game on the market (haven't played any others for years) but that's more an indictment of other games than it is praise for The Show.

It's not the worst or best. It's probably worth the price, but it's not a sports simulation. If your intent is to buy a game in order to "compete" with fellow human..this ain't it.
If you understand you're playing against AI even when you're "playing" against a human opponent..it's all good.

Game is in a really good spot. Patience and methodical gameplay is rewarded over hyper-aggressiveness. Strategy is a big factor in winning. The only thing i'd want changed is the effectiveness of that darn sinker. High sinkers are too effective in game and they wouldn't be IRL

That's another thing the gatekeepers (gaslighters) like to do. They'll focus on some silly trivial thing in the game that is so-so low on the totem poll..relatively speaking. And they'll just write post after post about it. Pinpoint is over-powered, sinkers suck, etc. Which, perhaps they are, but that's not even scratching the surface of the obvious AI interference to control outcomes.
Meanwhile, irritated folks drop posts in here about the overly manipulative AI and resulting horror stories and these same posters come to the defense of "da game" and blame it all on the terrible player, the monitor, or the lag.
It's a farce and I believe the gaslighters don't realize anyone with 2 brain-cells to rub together see through the scam. Follow the tons of profile and watch them contradict themselves all the time.
They'll answer replies from themselves as if they are a different profile..completely forgetting which profile they are currently using. That's just amateurish gaslighting (utilizing the power of numbers) to not keep track of your profile or the character that profile is supposed to adhere to.
They'll post stuff to bait people into giving up info about themselves. It's fun just to watch and sometimes play back. In fact, it's a lot of fun.
And that's fine. Everyone gonna post what they wanna post. Free country.

Agreed. There are things that need tweaking for sure, but in the absence of larger issues people blow up the small/mid sized issues.
The server issues were really bad, but been good since.

The community in April: Gameplay is great! If they could just fix the servers then this game would be perfect!
...SDS dramatically improves servers and other than a contact swing adjustment that most are fine with, makes zero changes to gameplay...

It's like this every year and I 100% am convinced it's OP 90+ diamonds breaking the game engine.

See I play offline mostly to parallel players. I have 72 ranked games, have only completed one br program for story. This game is trash and I’m sorry you don’t think so. Those who think it’s good are the ones in the minority

The content is far better than MyTeam or any EA sports card collection as the cards are not repetitive. SDS really tries to change the game a little by adding Pinpoint and create a stadium as well as the fielding indicator. But overall it's not great or bad but just another sports game, $60-$70 roster update as some people might say.

You guys that are on here praising the game need to give your head a shake. The content is pretty great. The idea of the game is also great.
The experience of playing the game is not great. It’s not a question of being burnt out on the game, unless you are talking about being burnt out on unsatisfying gameplay.

For me, the best part of the game is easily Moments, far and away the most fun to be had.
I only wish they would bring back Immortals instead of giving all these great cards away for practically nothing.
