Marlins get Jesus Luzardo

Starling Marte traded to the Athletics for Jesus Luzardo. Marlins are quietly putting together a very nice rotation.

I kinda love this deal for the A's. They have enough pitching depth to make luzardo expendable and they really needed another OF. Now if they can make an upgrade at SS (dare I dream of a Story deal?) then they might actually have a chance of overtaking Houston for the division.

Great trade for the As. I think the marlins will be trading some of these pitchers before Friday.

Marte is a FA this winter while Luzardo is under team control until end of 2027...so in the long run, it's a much better trade for Miami.

Trade their 25 year old pitchers? If anything the Marlins trade Rojas, Duvall, and Aguilar

If Luzardo doesn't dramatically improve, it'll be a miracle if he's even still in the league by 2027. The A's have solid pitching depth with or without him.

I read their keeping Rojas and Aguilar. Maybe Duval moves. But, I think their involved in a package or a 3 way. At least thats what paying all of Marte’s salary to acquire another arm signals to me.
