Interesting tidbits from my event games tonight

I will preface this by saying I am paralleling players and really don't care to go for 12 wins and a 5k card. Also using some different starters.
-One game gave up 4 non-pci hr's. I hit 1 that game.
-Billy Hamilton hit a game tying HR not at Shippet

Hit a single with a guy on first and after the ball got to the infield my guy on first just took off for 2nd.

I hit a can of corn to Lofton and he just dropped it

Played a guy and couldn't read or react on his pitchers, he dc'd in the 2nd

Guy hit a ball down the rf line on me with a 24 speed runner on 1st. No cut-off so my RF threw it to 2nd allowing him to score the winning run.
I'm sure there are some more but those were the obvious ones I remember. This is just part of one night. Precisely why you can't get mad. This game isn't worth breaking $70 controllers.
Can't change the format and don't care enough to try.

My first 4 games were away… Shippett in the rain, Old Texas with bad glare, Orioles ballpark and Blue river or something like that. Couldn’t pitch in the 1st three games. The last one I was walked off with a fluke homerun

I used Hamilton a lot early on. He has good power especially against Lefties. I hit 18 HR with him online in 260 AB

Wow. I just played an event game with Tom Glavine on the mound and his first batter was Johnny Damon (59 POW L). First pitch, 72 MPH SCV low and away, early swing, barely in the PCI, and clears the Shibe wall with a 95 MPH exit velo fly ball.
Safe to say I just shut my ps off after that.

A homer with Billy Hamilton doesn't surprise me one bit. He has sneaky power and most people expect you to just bunt with him. Then they will end up grooving fastballs if they don't get ahead in the count.

Probably something you weren't doing correctly. When you run the bases do you select the runner then use R1/L1? That is the secret to life according to many (probably one with many profiles) folks out here.
They'll have an explanation for every item that suggests it's all your fault. Just laugh at them and understand their agenda and motivation.

I got walked of by a guy using Damon. Early on a low and away slider from britton. But i knew I was losing when he got a runner on with a very late hit

My event games most of the season have been wack. Events are a great place to parallel hitters but not a great place to lower ERA.

Not a problem with the game, actual distance for shibe is 330 to each foul pole and 365 to LC 375 to the scoreboard ( 440 to center) but the park has always played as if it is 100' less than that.

I am King Daddy of non-pci HR's, bloops and bleeders. I think I give up more of these than anyone playing.
Last event I threw Leiter in to work on some parallel and he gave up 3 non-pci HR's in the 1st inning. Took him out, forfeited the 2nd win and have not put him back for events. I no longer use my top 6 or 7 starting pitchers in events even though I think 4 of them are at 4.

Literally hit no buttons. Had I hit L1 even on accident, shouldn't the guy from 2nd have gone to 3rd? I did not have control of either runner.

The fence is also high af which is why I was so shocked a guy with 59 power cleared it.
