I’m a glass half full kind of guy. Wanted to believe so badly the game was good and it was just poor tv settings. Unfortunately it’s a bad game online and always will be.
It's not TV settings. I have ps5, monitor, great router, fiber internet, Most people aren't smart enough to see the lag or haven't played baseball and can't see the difference in the pitch speeds. I watch a ton of top streamers and their pitch speed on legend looks like my all star/hof speed most of the time. No wonder they hit .400. [censored] looks like slow pitch softball.
I literally have a few days to make WS during a season and during those days it is a breeze. Most days are a chore to hit on all star.
You think a video of a video, streamed through a third party platform, and then to your computer screen is an exact copy of what the streamers see?

I think it has to do with the capture and then whatever Youtube does to it when it uploads. And that doesn’t mean I think online is perfect because it’s far from it.

I would say most people's eyes are not trained to see the differences. They are very noticeable to me. I played baseball for 18 years at very high levels.

Hate to voice displeasure again on the forum but it’s the only outlet I have for this miserable excuse for a game. Will not be back next year I can say that.
I can't flame you, truth hurts. Game is playing horrid. 4 time WS player and dropped down to 400 because Legend and HOF is nothing but 120 mph pitches. Can't even react. Dropped down to 400 and still getting warping pitches. First game at 400 getting blown away by fastballs I am looking for because they just go hand to glove. Don't feel bad in the least tanking down. It is either that or not play at all. I have to guess pitches instead of reading and reacting which is what I should be able to do. I didn't have to guess when I was playing baseball but do in this game because SDS doesn't understand lag kills this game. Beginning to think it is their dog [censored] servers for most of the issues instead of the opponent's connection.
Don't get me started on the sinkers that haven't been fixed in years.

I will agree, the gameplay online has been the worst I've seen. From comebacks being almost obsolete cause the pitchers confidence determining what's a hit, popup, ground out, or fly out user input is very random no matter how precise your PCI is. The always say get better, how about get better at making this game. Stop using the pitcher to determine everything

This game online is totally dependent on the connection you have with your opponent. If it’s good, it’s playable. If it’s laggy, it’s unplayable. In my eyes, it’s a pretty simple equation. Peer to peer is simply not ideal for a baseball game where milliseconds have a huge influence on outcome.

I keep playing because I don't care about wins and losses.
Just played a WS 12-0 banner guy in RS on HOF and made him quit after he was down 12-4. Amazing what I can do when I can actually read and react. Just earlier today I was getting blown away by fastballs on all star. No, I did not take an adderall or suck down some red bull. Why can't the game play like this all the time? It could with a little work from SDS.

This isn't an arcade baseball game. There is skill involved regardless of what others say. On a next gen it's super smooth, mo loading, free content..Great players..Excellent rewards..Can field a team of end gamers for free. Everyone plays straight up and this game is super next level. Gives yoy content all the way up to next season. I can go one. It's ur first year I presume. PRACTICE AND PATEINCE makes perfect. Dudes ne delusional.

I feel you to a point dude. Online play is very inconsistent. I don’t play it often if I’m being honest just because I’m not super good at the game , maybe have played a handful of online matches all season. If you don’t enjoy anything other than online this is exactly how you’ll end up. The game online plays differently from opponent to opponent so you’ll end up feeling good one game , and feeling terrible the next.
You’re entitled to your feelings and opinion of the game , but if you’re going to honestly say that the online PvP portion of the game is all that you enjoy about it then you’re going to have a love hate relationship with it. If you change your mind so be it. I have some helpful tips for hitting and pitching that you might not be aware of and would be glad to share with you. Good luck and hope you figure it out

Its the best going for now,whats needed is some healthy competition from another baseball game from ANYBODY. Agree with what other gentleman said about MVP 2005 . Used to do a lot of mods and stuff for that game it wasnt bad , I played on PC We had our lagswitchers way back then Wiggle you internet cords I think . But blatant cheaters found themselves eating a useless game cd cause the key had been obiterated from the history of the universe

You completely missed my point which doesn't surprise me considering the level of reading comprehension on the forum. Your first thought was to post that I did not play at a high level. If it wasn't for people like you, I would have posted a link to one of my baseball cards several years ago. However, there are quite a few untrustworthy people these days.

Whiners will be whiners and crybabies will be crybabies. BTW, your online play will go as far as the lag will take you. If your ping is south of 30ms you’ll have a pretty smooth game provided your opponent has a similar ping. If your ping rises above 50ms you will start noticing issue like teleportation and general choppiness to the game play if you couple that ping with an opponent who is also pinging at or higher than that than you’ll notice significant issues with the gameplay.

Made the WS my first time really playing DD in 17 with a gold team. Played a little in 14, think one game in 15 and none in 16. I'll be 52 next month and have made WS easily every season. You don't think my baseball knowledge and skills help me? I would beg to differ.
Any major league hitter would be good at this game if they put in the time. However, they spend most of their time working on the craft that pays them millions of dollars.
