This game has a steep learning curve. You just made an apology post and give it just a couple hours before changing your mind. Unless you have insanely ridiculous reaction time and hand eye coordination you aren't going to be great at the game a couple months into your first year playing.
If you want to give up and move onto another game that's your call but even tho it is flawed you will get better with practice and just time in the game so I would suck it up and push through but it's your call. -

hitting is pure dog [censored]. The game basically decides if you’ll get a hit or not when it feels like it.Sweet come back engine. I love that.
Events are honestly the least fun I’ve ever had on a video game my entire life. It’s nothing but guys who take any pitch even a millimeter off the black and hammer anything inside. On top of facing DeGrom every [censored] game.
So glad this game was free (game pass) because honestly even spending a penny on it would’ve been a waste.
Hate to voice displeasure again on the forum but it’s the only outlet I have for this miserable excuse for a game. Will not be back next year I can say that.
I can't flame you, truth hurts. Game is playing horrid. 4 time WS player and dropped down to 400 because Legend and HOF is nothing but 120 mph pitches. Can't even react. Dropped down to 400 and still getting warping pitches. First game at 400 getting blown away by fastballs I am looking for because they just go hand to glove. Don't feel bad in the least tanking down. It is either that or not play at all. I have to guess pitches instead of reading and reacting which is what I should be able to do. I didn't have to guess when I was playing baseball but do in this game because SDS doesn't understand lag kills this game. Beginning to think it is their dog [censored] servers for most of the issues instead of the opponent's connection.
Don't get me started on the sinkers that haven't been fixed in years.

It's not TV settings. I have ps5, monitor, great router, fiber internet, Most people aren't smart enough to see the lag or haven't played baseball and can't see the difference in the pitch speeds. I watch a ton of top streamers and their pitch speed on legend looks like my all star/hof speed most of the time. No wonder they hit .400. [censored] looks like slow pitch softball.
I literally have a few days to make WS during a season and during those days it is a breeze. Most days are a chore to hit on all star.

Well I just lost an elimination game in BR vs WS banner. It was 0-0 bottom of the 4th, I’m batting. I go to sub Mike Schmidt on 2nd with 99 speed Tim locastro. I get stuck in the substitution screen while he is pitching to my batter. I’m watching the count and hearing the strikes. My virtual batter works a 3-2 count (I am still in the substitution screen) then strikes out looking obviously because I couldn’t swing because I was in the substitution screen. I finally can get back to the game with a 1-2 count on my 2nd hitter.
Oh and I lost the first game because of a freeze off where I was up 2-0 in the top of the 3rd
Yeah the game is bad right now.

I won’t go into the OP praising and criticising within 2 hours. My own two cents.
I’ve noticed players with good animations seem to do better. For example. POTM Siemien has worse stats than Acuna. Yet I’m hitting 315 with Sinien and 180 with Acuna.
The only difference is I notice Simien after getting a ball in play seems to have some sort of Kris Bryant swing animation about him
The two biggest problems I have about this game

102mph fast balls. Even on AS. They’re too fast. [censored] that. It’s not enjoyable.

Timing windows. I have hit a P/P and then when the feedback shows at the start of the next pitch (after it went foul) says “just early”
Well. It clearly wasn’t just early. Was it. Or it wasn’t perfect. Gods sake.

He always likes to claim that but I don’t believe it. I watch a few different Youtuber’s and all their pitch speeds look very hittable even on HoF and legend. I think it has to do with the capture and then whatever Youtube does to it when it uploads. And that doesn’t mean I think online is perfect because it’s far from it.

I have seen many pitches warp on Movie Gaming. Rarely on OhChev.
I would say most people's eyes are not trained to see the differences. They are very noticeable to me. I played baseball for 18 years at very high levels.

I will agree, the gameplay online has been the worst I've seen. From comebacks being almost obsolete cause the pitchers confidence determining what's a hit, popup, ground out, or fly out user input is very random no matter how precise your PCI is. The always say get better, how about get better at making this game. Stop using the pitcher to determine everything

This game online is totally dependent on the connection you have with your opponent. If it’s good, it’s playable. If it’s laggy, it’s unplayable. In my eyes, it’s a pretty simple equation. Peer to peer is simply not ideal for a baseball game where milliseconds have a huge influence on outcome.

Laggy is a problem all it's own. This game has a whole lot of other "issues" that aren't at all network related.

I keep playing because I don't care about wins and losses.
Just played a WS 12-0 banner guy in RS on HOF and made him quit after he was down 12-4. Amazing what I can do when I can actually read and react. Just earlier today I was getting blown away by fastballs on all star. No, I did not take an adderall or suck down some red bull. Why can't the game play like this all the time? It could with a little work from SDS.
