I actually like the Kemp card. I hit really well with him but he’s mostly a platoon/pinch hitter/defensive sub for me.
I also use Street and have Giambi on my bench.

It's an observation that you're taking as a complaint because it rubs you the wrong way.
Why produce that card again when there are so many other options? Heck, a different MLB'er would be nice.

Gotta remember some people don't play that much and those Giambi, Kemp, Street cards are high usable cards for them.

Also theme teams! Some people just rock a theme team regardless of their rating. Not everyone wants to have a god squad.
They are “usable” online. Just not the meta or god squad worthy. I’ve done fine with Street, Giambi is a great pinch hitter (swing is just so smooth regardless of ratings), and Kemp is a very good situational player.

Perhaps it’s because you aren’t the only one that plays the game. Because you don’t like something doesn’t mean that there aren’t people that do. It’s probably shocking to you but there could be fans of teams that Matt Kemp played for that play this game.

Maybe I shouldn’t have called it a complaint, but the point stands, these are free cards that you only have to play the game and no one is making you do it, unless mysteriously, someone has kidnapped you and is forcing you to play the game at gunpoint.
