First Time Ever Playing Online

So I’ve never played online before. No matter what game I’m playing, I’m just not a fan of multiplayer.
But I REALLY want that Dominguez card, so I just entered the event. Game went into the 4th inning tied 0-0. First at bat of the 4th, I hit a two run shot with Eduardo Escobar. Then my screen freezes for a few seconds and I’m thinking “[censored], this is what everyone on the forum is always bitching about. Stupid freeze off.” But it turns out it was just my opponent quitting.
Now I’m about to play my 2nd online game ever. I hope it goes as well as the first.

That's cool, man.
I still have Esco on my bench because I rake with him and he plays almost every position for late substitutions.
I'm assuming there was a runner on with the extra inning rule. -

Thank you, sir. Honestly, I wasn’t sure if I’d get several responses of “who gives a [censored]” or “yay for you asshole,” just based on how bad the forums have gotten this year. Not that it would have bothered me, because I was genuinely excited about winning my first online game and wanted to share it with everyone.

Congratulations...that is awesome! I am not big on online either...most is that I am terrible online and the other part is the nonsense you run into online that doesn't help me get better. I love switch hitters though and already had been building a squad of 100% switch hitters, so I decided I would go all in on this event and it has been really enjoyable. Not near the shenanigans that I have found in Ranked and BR. My son text me this morning and said " did you get el Marciano yet". I had just won game 25 and sent him a selfie with the screen...might be the first selfie I have ever sent. He replied and said "you look so happy". Grind away and get used to those "rage quits"...they will keep coming as you get to 25!!!

Yeah this event has been pretty fun so far. Not quite as many toxic douches as ranked, but I've run into a few...lol.

Yeah this event has been pretty fun so far. Not quite as many toxic douches as ranked, but I've run into a few...lol.
My experience in ranked has actually been overwhelmingly positive. I'm guessing that it's because I suck online, and the lower levels are mostly populated with people who know they'll never reach world series anyway so they just want to play a straight up game. It seems like like I'd be more likely to match up with the more toxic win at all costs types if I was good enough to move up a few more tiers.
Or maybe the sample size of games played is too small and I've just been lucky so far. Who knows lol.
