All Star game players should not be decided by fans
-
Baez is second out of all the players to choose from and his stats aren’t good. Should be decided by who actually deserves it, not a popularity contest.

This feels like headcanon. ASG votes from the statcast era are more statistically oriented than they've ever been beforehand. You pull up a ballot from the 90s or even earlier, and it's all name power. Nowadays you can actually see people like Corey Dickerson START in the ASG
-
Out of all the current leaders in both leagues the only one I disagree with is Albies(should be Adam Frazier IMO). While i am not the biggest fan of fan voting, It is far better than it was in 2014-15 when it was just a contest to see which Giants and Royals fans could vote the most times

Idk man, we really didn’t start to see people who deserve it till 2017 where a lot of new names were in. Just stupid to me why there isn’t something separating the deserving players and a fan vote of maybe say 5-7 players in each league to select in.

I know I’m tagging on the Cubs with Baez, but no reason Pederson or Heyward should be in the top 10.

They only get 9 now, the starting positions and a dh(but maybe not the dh,just the eight.)
players and coaches have a vote for the next group and league selects the rest.
not sure who does the pitchers anymore as theyve changed a few times since 2016. -
