Simply put it is an aim bit. I can easily tell when I play someone using analog because they always make contact and the pci is always on the ball.
It essentially eliminates one half of the aspect of hitting.
I know cheesers will defend it, but it should not be allowed in a game vscanotye person.
What's funny is that I play in a league and I actually know who uses analog and who doesn't. The analog hitters are actually significantly easier to get out than the good zone hitters. With a proper pitch mix, the CPU controlled PCI will not track the pitch properly. Even if their timing is right, they tend to get more weak contact. Key is hitting your spots and mixing the pitches. If you hang a pitch to someone doing analog it gets crushed though.
Man I wish I played all Analog and directional players on my way to WS. I bet I would go undefeated.

Regardless though, analog is nowhere near like being an “aimbot” and zone hitting is definitely the most effective way to hit.

It isn’t so much that it leads to amazing contact, it’s just that it leads to everything being put in play….which opens you up to

So major league hitters only have to swing exactly the same every time? There is no adjusting for location?

Zone analog full stride is where it is at. I should honestly stop worrying about if I win or lose and just play zone analog full stride because it is fun and challenging.

But even that isn't true. I was playing a guy who uses the Dodgers and traded for Acuna, so his team is stacked. He is patient using analog and usually has a mid .300 avg. In 2 of 3 games I struck him out 20 and 22 times and allowed 4 total hits and 1 ER. It's possible to get swings and misses too, but you have to pitch right.
realistically they need to pick some "competitve settings" for online if its ever to be taken seriously, you cant have one guy over here using pulse pitching with analog hitting, and the next guy using zone hitting with meter pitching and then another guy is using Pinpoint pitching with directional and some other dope is using classic pitching and analog hitting, or some weird combo of any of those. its kind of stupid.

Explain to me how you control the angle of the bat head while using zone. Regardless of which mode you prefer to use, the AI “decides” a fair bit for you; in zone, you pick a location, time it, and cross your fingers for the right angle (which you’re often gifted in zone, and so much so that most people don’t even consider that before patting themselves on the back for being so skillful).

I used analog every year except this year when I finally switched to zone. Analog is garbage, you have to hope the rgn puts your pci on the ball. I do however feel like online should be zone hitting only. I think directional hitting is the real cheese, especially with contact swings being so broken.
Lol op doesn’t realize you can use zone with analog. Not sure what you are whining about as that’s more skill based than button zone. You obviously don’t know the game

I love how people claim they know with 100% certainty what hitting/pitching interface their opponent uses. Once I read that, all credibility of that person is out the window
I’ve used analog and it’s NOWHERE near as rewarding or consistent as zone hitting. PLEASE give me opponents using analog hitting over zone hitting
