For once, this is not a topic to complain about gameplay, but one where I have a request for SDS about music.

I'm not a fan of the menu music. REALLY not a fan. While the music itself is good, for me, and me personally, I don't find it to be something I want to listen to when navigating through the menus.

I was born in 1970, and in the 80s, I used to listen religiously to a show called This Week in Baseball. I loved that show, and I can still hear Mel Allen narrate that show. That being said, would it be possible for the SDS team to acquire the licenses to the themes of TWiB, a song called Gathering Crowds by John Scott and a song called Jet Set by Mike Vikers?

For those of us who grew up in that era you'll know those two themes and for the younger ones out there, look them up on YouTube.

Really, as far as menu music is concerned, I don't think that there are any 2 better themes for The Show. I know I can import music into the show, but having it be official and professionally done would just add something to this game.

Although I haven't been able to this year, I usually would add in a baseball playlist to add variety and give more of a baseball feel to the soundtrack..
Songs like "Boys of Summer" by Don Henley, Dropkick Murphy's "Tessie", Bruce Springsteen's "Glory Days", and "Put me in Coach" by John Fogerty...

These aren't my favorite songs or anything, but I love how they really give a summer baseball vibe and add a lot to the theme of the game.
This year on ps5 is a no go though, and that sucks...

My partner -- who doesn't like baseball -- commented yesterday that the songs in the game don't scream baseball to him. I agree. I generally like 21's soundtrack music much better than 20's, but I certainly don't get an overall baseball vibe from the soundtrack. I watched 'Hardball' yesterday and even 'Big Poppa' would give me bigger baseball feels than anything on the soundtrack right now.

This year's soundtrack definitely is better but ya.. not much baseball vibes..
Foo fighters is great. Beck is always good.. I especially love that weird Future Islands song. So eclectic but very unique and cool.
Everything else though is pretty bad.
I think the way to do it would be to have a dynamic playlist that changes every month but I'm sure that would be expensive to do. I believe NBA 2K does that.

I'm the same age and the first thing I'd do each year is turn off all the songs in the jukebox and upload my new wave 80s tunes. Unfortunately, this apparently can't be done on the PS5 version so I navigate the menus in silence.

Spotify in the background. Turn off in game music, turn crowd noise down a bit, adjust spotify volume to be underneath announcers (about 35% for me).

Maybe I'm the outlier here (sorry for pun), I actually love the soundtrack this year. I couldn't find a soundtrack on any of the music services but I've put on the youtube playlist someone put together to listen to in the car. Love the soundtrack.
