As the title implies, I revamped my pitcher. I have The Professor Diamond with 4 Diamond perks. I was trying to be a control/velocity pitcher before with fastballs in the mid-90s, while able to hit the corners with enough consistency to get swings-and-misses. I noticed two issues that I just didn’t care for: I gave up more long [censored] than I like because, well, throwing fastballs that missed over the plate; and my strikeouts were dependent on the size of the zone the variable umpire was calling for a particular game.

I am still a Diamond Professor, but I now use two Diamond control perks and two Diamond break perks. It’s just more fun for me to pitch this way. I never throw the ball above the belt. Everything is low, slow, and lots of movement. I don’t throw any straight pitches, nor do I have a traditional fastball in my repertoire. My pitches are a Splitter, Circle-Change, Sinker, Palmball, and Slurve. My fastest pitch is 86 MPH and my slowest is 79 MPH.

I’m only 9 games into this save, so I’m still at AA. I play on All Star, with classic pitching, and the pitch trail faded. I know I’m just an old guy who would get smoked by most of the folks here but I’m having fun playing RTTS again. Probably will do something similar with my fielder save.

That pitch repertoire sounds great. As a lifelong catcher, pitching, painting corners, getting into the opponents head, is the most fun I have even aside from hitting so I'm right there with ya!

I like to use this order with Slider 1st, Cutter 2nd, Changeup 3rd, Sinker 4th, and a 2-seamer 5th. Worked great in 2020 with the filthy archetype. 400 plus K's on legend but I also have diamond equipment attached.

Where the hell did you get the diamond break perks? I have been unlocking and grinding out archetypes left and right. I have diamond professor and diamond billy the kid.
I feel the same way, tried to be a high vel, high control guy and I give up too many HR when I screw up. I too want to use diamond break perks but don't have them. Maybe I should just buy them with stubs???

Just buy them. It’s easier that way.

If u have all the gear your Pedro can have 119 h/9 111/k and 99 stamina and be 99 overall he can pitch inning 6-9 in 3 games no issue and he recovers playing the field 102 fastball 94 sinker 69 any change up than slider 94mph and u can have screwball 84mph or 12-6 84 92 spill or fork the cutter is 100 so it's not as effective than there the running and two seem which are both 100mph and submarine number 22 and 9 are the most toxic but I like rob Dibble or Fernando itz like his screwball and change up but add 7mph to fastball and add a 5th pitch of serve 88mph highest ratting 822 rec with cap 44-12 with a 18kper9 and a 2.3era 0.88 whip lol I can't hit but I can pitch
