Man these cutscenes are pointless. No added value to RTTS. Save your money San Diego Studios.

Right now I'm going back to 2020. I'll pick up 2021 again after the update. Going forward I won't be buying The Show without a test run of the game first. Feels like I just wasted $100 on a game I'm not going to play.
I'm moving and have to choose between my Xbox or PS4 for 4 months. Xbox has MLB The Show 2021 and the PS4 has MLB The Show 2020. With the problems right now in 2021 I'm leaning towards the PS4.
Simple reason is I only play RTTS. It's all that I'm interested in. I don't really care for the changes in 2021 to RTTS as well. Wonder if I'm the only one that thinks this way?
I read almost everything; I just don't give a shot.
Game still sucks. I'm back to playing 2020.
I like to use this order with Slider 1st, Cutter 2nd, Changeup 3rd, Sinker 4th, and a 2-seamer 5th. Worked great in 2020 with the filthy archetype. 400 plus K's on legend but I also have diamond equipment attached.
I want to be a starting pitcher but I have been used as either a long, middle, and closing reliever. I was traded from the Marlins to the Red Sox and now to the Rays. Funny part to me is I won a championship with the Red Sox after the trade and won another with the Rays after the trade. I'm curious how many times I'll be dealt. Every time I complain about not being a starter.
Am I the only one who owns 2021 and am still playing 2020? I only play for the RTTS. I'm hoping 2022 will be better but will get a month of Xbox Game Pass to test it out first.

Play for a team that has another great hitter to protect you. In 2020 I have the same problem on the Giants. Get IBB all the time from the 5th inning on until they signed Soler to hit behind me for 1 season. Then it was back to all the IBB. Frustrating I know.

I'm grinding on Legendary and basically skipping all the cut scenes because right off the bat it was useless.
I think what I like most about RTTS is it's hella hard to win a championship. As 1 player there's only so much you can do.
I do wish I could get more control of roster decisions, lineup card, and rotation. Being a 99 pitcher I think I'm good to pitch on 3 days rest when we need it in the playoffs.
I agree on the story plain and boring like the other years. Would be nice to have some clot with the GM to convince them to sign a top FA. I think they allowed it in MLB 2K series. I just remember playing 2020 and getting IBB all the time until they signed Soler to hit behind me as protection.
I'm curious about your guy's thoughts on RTTS so far? I have only played about 8 games as a hitter on Legendary and the hitting feels much better this year. Every hit isn't a pop up.
I used Xbox game pass because I was hesitate after last year debacle with RTTS IMO as a strictly RTTS gamer.
Using directional hitting/buttons MVP Baseball style.
I have anomalies with my own RTTS character. Such as he's a 2-way player in the Show 2020. I created a SP but used all the hitting equipment. Pretty soon I was playing LF between starts. Similar to Othani's rest in real life. What sucked is I was used more as a hitter than the Ace of the staff in playoff games. I'm a much better pitcher by far. Wish you could have more control over your players to start on 3 day rest in playoffs.
yes it has been confirmed that MLB the Show 22 will be on gamepass for XBOX
Anyone know if this will be on game pass again this year? Don't want to drop $100 on a crappy game like with 2021. Would be nice to have a month test run first.
