Tatis leads the entire majors in errors. Not just for SS, everyone. And no markdown for his fielding.
Or don't they make adjustments to fielding attributes? They do buy normally that happens about 2x a year

Won't get into the whole Bryant thing..
Just want to point out that most people who work at SDS are not Padre fans and aren't from San Diego.
Just from the streams over the years, there's literally one or 2 padre fans... A couple guys from Canada, Nick is a chisox guy. Luis is Yankees.. etc..Must just be a coincidence? Hmmm. What is most who work, and how do you know. Not saying you're wrong, but you are speaking like you know because of some survey of all the folks that have a hand in creating these ratings. And, maybe you do.
Pretty easy to cherry-pick, but it really stands to reason from any sort of logic you would ever want to inject that the players from the town that creates this game are given a better shake..further would make one think it's intentional.
First off, the studio is in San Diego.. that's it... They don't hire locally. They pick developers from all over, and internally from Sony.. secondly, for the last 6 years of MLB the show, they have streamed tournaments with their team, along with content, etc.. they've been very open to who they are, what each does and also what team they cheer for, and where they're from. Almost none of them are from San Diego... Luis (Yankee fan) runs the DD team. There's a twin and Jays fan on that team if I remember too.
The head live content manager is a Marlins fan as well this post might be the dumbest thing on here, clearly OP wasn't here in 19 when ever 3rd card released was a Braves card for a total of some 56 Braves flashback cards.
Where do you guys get this stuff? And if it came right out of the horses's mouths doesn't mean it to be written in stone. Or freaking guy didn't lie to cover up his real allegiance. Or didn't get pressured from his Boss...we'll call him the "live content manager for Regional sale's Boss" that is a SD fan.
Perhaps a conversation like this over beers at Bub's:
Boss - "You know my favorite team from childhood is having a good year. Now I don't necessarily play the game, butta, wouldn't it be cool to be a little more considerate of some of the superstars ratings? I especially like that kid Machado. And don't forget our cover boy. I mean, what would it really hurt? It's just a game and most customers will never notice. Tell you what, let me buy this next round and we'll talk about your evaluation".
Head live Content Manager - "Boss that is an excellent idea. And, I'll have a Chocolate Martini heavy on the whip cream."
So basically no matter what anyone say you will believe that there are other force's at play here.
So imma just leave you to your own devices and thoughts cause there is really no point to this is post other then some tin foil hats
No, I'm going to say, just like a good attorney or advocate would..it's all circumstantial and open to opposing viewpoints.
We've established motive - SD company wants to see their team's players do well.
We've established opportunity - SDS developers are the ones that produce these convoluted numbers (don't matter where they hale from or publicly share is their favorite players).
We've established chain of command - They still have to genuflect to the boss's..and the boss's bosses, etc. whims.
And, most importantly, we have the smoking gun...all these biased roster updates.
Do believe in a court of law we could get a conviction. Unless the jury were all from Sorrento Valley. Then you might have some problems.

It’s actually interesting to me that you can think there isn’t bias. I’m about as sure as it gets (without hard evidence... aka SDS just coming out and saying it) that they use bias in their updates.
Whether it’s homer picks or manipulating the market. I think it’s ignorant to think there isn’t bias involved. Just my opinion though.

They smoked Lindors rating after a bad month of baseball. From 87-81 within a month. Yikes.
I get that he is playing awful but seems as though they have allowed others to stay afloat while sinking Lindor
If someone dropped from 87-81 in a month there should be an investigation. That defies any sort of algorithm on Earth involving baseball stats.
Lindor must have said something bad about the game. Some conspiracy accusation or something.
If you think there needs to be an investigation, you really need to take a step back and understand this is a video game and doesn't effect real life. I really hope a lot of this is for fun.....

Well, it's all in fun. Until it isn't.
Do I personally believe anything SDS does will be affected by anonymous statements from anonymous folks in a forum. Nope.
Do I believe it helps some people to laugh about their concerns with this game. You absolutely and positively should believe that. It's called venting to keep from blowing one's top completely.

I know it's difficult to decipher the written word. You see no expression, hear no cadence or emphasis. But, most ppl would read "there should be an investigation" for the cliched banality it is.
Are you the forum po-po or something? Just a good guy trying to temper a thread you perceive as taking on sinister connotations? Doesn't matter, but your statement above really is one that can't be construed as humorous. So, are you calling me out? I really dunno how to answer you properly.
To you or anyone else monitoring. This forum is an awesome place for exchanging info and instruction on the company's game. It's also a great place to allow paying customers to vent. Customer's that believed they were getting one product and, perhaps, found out it didn't live up to the hype.
Whether it's done through humor, sarcasm, or blind-fury it's extremely generous of Sony/SDS/whoever to offer up this very therapeutic sounding board.
Probably does curtail a class-action suit. Ha..there I go kidding again. Dude, it's why I put a winkie beside most of these comments.

Cub fan here. San Diego has lots of golds and diamonds because their players have performed well this year and the 2 previous years. There is no conspiracy.
Also, Bryant performs well in every position he plays. But there isn’t an attribute that gives him a boost to overall for versatility. Machado is a premier defender at third. Bryant does not perform at that level at any one position. But don’t worry. If he keeps his 1000+ OPS all year, he will go diamond again.
You're a Cubs Fan about like I'm a fan of brussel sprouts. I've seen your posts. Nice try.
Machado goes through more extremes with his defense than the streakiest of batters. This is from an Orioles article in 2018. Machado has had some of the WORST defensive seasons in the history of the game. He's had a few very good ones. So, which player is he?
Manny Machado, who while enjoying his best-ever season at the plate is also en route to the worst defensive season on record. Not just his own worst defensive season—the worst for any player, at any position (positional adjustments aside). Machado has already reached negative-20 DRS this year—that’s the second-worst total at any position in 2018, on a list that also includes Jones and Mancini in the bottom five—and is thus on pace to hit nearly negative-40 for the season. Since 2003, the worst single-season DRS total is negative-33, for Matt Kemp in 2010; only six players have gone even 30 runs under.
I’ve been a Cubs fan since I heard the word baseball. I’d like to see what I’ve said in the past that makes you think differently. No, really. I’d like to see.
And you’re too concerned about performance in a 2 month young season. SDS goes off the last 3 years, not the last 2 months. Bryant and Machado have long track records.
PS - Brussel sprouts are tasty.
