While I agree that it should be, BUT, we can all find a dozen+ examples of current players that faced the same situation in the past (including current CF of my Phillies).

They’ll do their “investigation,” give him the 80+ game suspension, and then he’ll be back at some point next year. Sadly, this is the environment that’s been established.

Odubel situation was so blown out of proportion

Yeah if you consider beating your girlfriend within an inch of her life overblown!!!!

Lmmfao..uh she had fingerprints on her arm

You sure you want to be defending any sort of domestic violence. And Odubal Herrera had a history of this kind of activity.

Not defending it...but fingerprints on an arm is way different then beating someone within an inch of their life....and how does he have a history of it?

He had literally made news on several occasions for domestic disturbances in the past before Mlb instituted these new domestic violence policies. I’m not judge, jury or executioner but if you’ve done it once it much more likely to do it again as there is precedent now.

I have never heard of any other incidents ..I have googled and can find nothing.

The MLB domestic violence policies started in 2015...Odubel started in 2015

None of you have no clue what happened for all we know she tried to have him killed or had a pistol at his head or a knife who knows even if this were the case he'd still be arrested say this is the environment that has been established I know most kids don't believe this but in America you're innocent until proven guilty

Actually only applies to court proceedings. Other than that it's a personal choice. I wasn't there and I'm no supporter of the police but if they busted in and witnessed it I think we can leave the presumption of innocence to the trial (if there is one).

Not saying this is a viewpoint you have, but I wish all the 'presumption of innocence' folks would be so passionate about cases where completely innocent bystanders are assaulted and/or killed by authorities, instead of pointing out the legal wrinkles in cases involving obviously guilty criminals. Not saying that's you -- just making what I think is an important point about what innocence really means and when we should be outraged by violations of innocence. Not to mention in cases like this, there are actual victims and it appears very doubtful that Ozuna is a victim here.

Lol when has an authority figure killed or assaulted an "innocent bystander"?

Tell me you're just trolling 🤣

And you say you don't support law enforcement but if your mom sister or daughter were kidnapped and or raped you'd dial 911 and support every move they made to bring justice to your family so stop it

Yes, that’s why I said they’d do their investigation and make a ruling and hand out the punishment. The environment I alluded to is in the fact that when found guilty, the MLB allows the player to come back to the league and continue to make an absurd amount of money.

Anthopoulos isn't one to even remotely condone that kind of [censored] in his org.... I can see the Braves eating that contract and releasing him. Then trying to recoup some of it through legal means.

They can void contracts for this kind of behavior. So yeah his career in Atlanta is over but they won’t eat that contract it’ll be voided and money spent elsewhere

That’s what I thought, but I think I read somewhere that Felipe Vasquez is the second highest paid player on the Pirates books this year. I don’t know how any of the behind the scenes stuff works, and maybe Pittsburgh knew a court battle to void the contract would cost more than just paying him out. Either way… Ozuna can eat a canvas sack full of rubber schwangs. What a dope.

(And it’s true we don’t know the whole story, obv, but it’s s really really bad look to rush in and defend a guy whose hands were literally wrapped around a woman’s neck in plain view of the police… this forum is depressing sometimes)

Vick AB ray ray it happens in the NFL NBA and in all of our daily lives nobody should be shunned into the darkness of society due to a mishap mistake or unfortunate event even if its your worst moment of life you should be able to continue to provide for yourself and not have your livelihood ripped from you forever

That being said wife beating raping or pedo shyt should be executed on the day guilt is proven
