Well hes in fulton county so if the cops are white then he has a chance to get off. Hell the georgia senator is a wife beater. Think he has great chance of being ok
-
Why would he do that though? He has too much on the line and that's not cool.
-
Well I do think it is terrible how common things such as what Ozuna has allegedly done (and I think it is such a low thing to do), but we do not know the whole story and he deserves to be heard by a jury trial. It is something everyone who lives in the U.S. is guaranteed to in the Constitution.

While I agree that it should be, BUT, we can all find a dozen+ examples of current players that faced the same situation in the past (including current CF of my Phillies).
They’ll do their “investigation,” give him the 80+ game suspension, and then he’ll be back at some point next year. Sadly, this is the environment that’s been established.
Odubel situation was so blown out of proportion
Yeah if you consider beating your girlfriend within an inch of her life overblown!!!!

Anthopoulos isn't one to even remotely condone that kind of [censored] in his org.... I can see the Braves eating that contract and releasing him. Then trying to recoup some of it through legal means.

They can void contracts for this kind of behavior. So yeah his career in Atlanta is over but they won’t eat that contract it’ll be voided and money spent elsewhere
-
Based on the facts we have so far I would wager his career is over.
-
The local news in Atlanta reported that he also beat her with his brand new cast.

Yah Aroldis Chapman says hi.
Ozuna will be back.
I dunno man, apparently the cops witnessed him choking his wife and throwing her against a wall. Dude's going to jail I think.
Yeah he did it right in front of police. He’s definitely doing jail time. Hopefully Atlanta can get all or most of the 65 million they just paid him

There are teams that he might get away with this behavior (Astros I’m looking at you) but Atlanta is not one of them. Hector Olivaris did this and he never played another game. Ozuna is done!!!

You sure you want to be defending any sort of domestic violence. And Odubal Herrera had a history of this kind of activity.
-
Robert Ozuna got signee by the Astros after Toronto cut him loose and then ended up cutting him too right? I see he still in the game as a Free Agent but doesn't play anywhere right

Truth is that scumbag should never have been given a second chance just as Herrera shouldn’t have. There is zero reasons to ever hit your spouse, girlfriend, or what ever you call your better half. Even if they have done it to you. Two wrongs don’t make a right and this is especially the case in a domestic situation. Remove yourself from the situation before it devolves to that point.

Toronto traded Osuna for Giles actually.
And I'm still surprised they wanted that baggage enough to give an equal closer back to the Jays.. Giles was great in Toronto. So was Osuna obviously but F him...And no, Osuna is a FA. Nobody wants his bad PR and he has shoulder troubles last I heard too

Not defending it...but fingerprints on an arm is way different then beating someone within an inch of their life....and how does he have a history of it?

None of you have no clue what happened
for all we know she tried to have him killed or had a pistol at his head or a knife who knows even if this were the case he'd still be arrested
"sadly this is the environment that has been established"
I know most kids don't believe this but in America you're innocent until proven guilty

He had literally made news on several occasions for domestic disturbances in the past before Mlb instituted these new domestic violence policies. I’m not judge, jury or executioner but if you’ve done it once it much more likely to do it again as there is precedent now.

Actually only applies to court proceedings. Other than that it's a personal choice. I wasn't there and I'm no supporter of the police but if they busted in and witnessed it I think we can leave the presumption of innocence to the trial (if there is one).
Not saying this is a viewpoint you have, but I wish all the 'presumption of innocence' folks would be so passionate about cases where completely innocent bystanders are assaulted and/or killed by authorities, instead of pointing out the legal wrinkles in cases involving obviously guilty criminals. Not saying that's you -- just making what I think is an important point about what innocence really means and when we should be outraged by violations of innocence. Not to mention in cases like this, there are actual victims and it appears very doubtful that Ozuna is a victim here.

I have never heard of any other incidents ..I have googled and can find nothing.
