Bring out the ban hammer!

Just throwing it out there: this forum could use a mod with a heavy hand.

Every day it is “Scripted BS! R2 ruins my life! [censored] everyone who isn’t me. Contact swing is worse than when my mother died of cancer! Quick pitching killer my nephew! Someone undercut me by 1 stub and I want to set his house on fire!”

The worst part is, that is the civil/productive part. From there we get to “this is your online record, you don’t get to have an opinion. Get gud. <insert bevy of personal attacks>”.

There are perfectly decent ways to complain/suggest improvements. “Hey SDS, it seems like tons of bombs are being hit with contact swing. Is anyone looking into that? It’s kind of Messing up the game for me.” Accomplishes everything that a massive toxic rant does.

Long story short. I have a suggestion: SDS, can you start suspending or banning the people who make these forums horribly toxic?

While it's painful at times on the forums unless someone does something against TOS they can't just ban someone for being a troll

This is a better idea. I love the people that don't like what you have to say but feel they still need to read your thread and comment anyway.

If the title or post doesn't interest me, I don't read. Pretty simple concept really.

Again, completely fair. I guess my only counterpoint is that I really enjoy the good parts of these forums. Great info on cards, lots of people give good advice, tips, etc. speculation on drops/ programs. The negative rants just kind of clog up the boards in my experience. That said, not reading them is probably the best solution.

I actually think the mods do a pretty fair job at keeping things clean when ppl break TOS. The only thing I wish is that they were faster at it. For instance like the guy yesterday that went on a 30-45 min rant hurling homophobic slurs at other posters & even SDS. The thread stayed up much longer than that and the poster was even able to go back and edit all of the incriminating posts. If that was taken care of sooner it wouldn't have gone on anywhere near as long as it did. Same with the guy that was spamming some dumb copy/paste pulling up 1 & 2 year old threads to do so.

I understand your rage my friend and your need to vent. Everyone is effected and called to action by different catalysts.

I'm not necessarily sticking up for those that want to share their experiences in a heated fashion but, the fact is, there are things about this game that even the most open-minded will say is "scripted".

So, put yourself in the shoes of someone that "perhaps" has suffered through 3 or 4 straight games of these "unusual" events. Maybe they have some sense of pride in their records. They watch their records being destroyed, their commitment and practice just proven irrelevant by a game that seems to run on it's own frequency sometimes.

Again, even a patient person can lose their cool when things go south despite their best efforts to maintain. So try to be understanding and let others vent as you are allowed to vent about them and their actions.

Not about the complaining of the game as much as it is how they complain about the game. And there is a big difference between the two.

I have zero knowledge as to whether anyone directly affiliated with the company hangs out on this forum. I suppose I would be surprised if that wasn't the case though.

I would say they are the ones that really need to be thick-skinned. It's their product that hanging out there for all to critique. They likely get tired of the bashing too. I'm guessing the bans might start not so much with the way someone is addressing it..as that someone is actually pointing out obvious truths.

It's not so tough to just laugh at people that make SWAG's about your product. But when they start nailing the true nature and exposing some weaknesses and beleaguering the point for the world to see...it would get old. And it would be hard to deal with. Probably why they ban folks because some just don't like the constant reminder of the glitches and what not. I wouldn't like it.

Not to mention it probably isn't good for marketing and PR.

I don't think anyone at SDS is thin-skinned to the point that they wouldn't be able to handle criticism of their game.

There's constructive feedback that points out flaws in the game...

And there's being an obnoxious, rotten, little punk on a forum because one "feels" they are invincible on the internet! These are little, puny punks that have absolutely no self respect or respect for others and it makes them feel like a big guy by being a wannabe bully on here. These people are the lowest scum on Earth! It is these people who are the thin-skinned people!

You can’t ban for that. Only trolls or gratuitous cussers or griefers. I could give af about bombs on contact swings. I get more made at the amount of seeing eye single and Texas leaguers I give up. Meanwhile I hit 4-6 to the track and lose bc my hits are all outs abs the opponents hit a 14 Texas leaguers. It’s the timing window on all star please

You got banned for dropping multiple F and N bombs. You could have sold your 12-0 reward for a million remember? You ARE the coward that is being talked about.

Everytime that happens some new “Showlegend” or “SDSprodigy” shows up and tricks people for a few days then reverts back to his toxic BS and starts breaking down 6 page rants about a game he “just picked up”
