Ummmm. So. I see everyone saying that they are accidentally picking the same player twice. I personally haven't done that yet, but I could, I guess. What I want to know is, how do you even accidentally pick the same card you already have in the first place? I guess I just don't understand that. Wouldn't you know what you do and don't have? Someone please help me understand this. Thanks.

Accidents happen I guess. Idk how one would do that either but.

This doesn't really need a full breakdown does it? People are stupid and make mistakes. End of story.

I'm just assuming its people not paying attention to what they are doing and going to fast.
Although as a QoL thing...it would be nice to have these packs auto-order with non-duplicates in front. From the various TA reward packs for banners/icons/sounds and uniforms....instead of finding the one you didnt pick yet, just have them listed first.

That does sound like a nice idea having the ones you haven't chosen yet in the front.

Having the green 'New' icon in the top left corner look exactly like the 'x2', 'x3' duplicates icon might not have been the best design decision ever.

I'd say would literally fix this issue but you know someone would still screw it up. Just press X (or the xbox equivalent) when you open a pack and you'll never dupe until youve claimed them all.

Probably not, but again taking an extra 5 seconds (or less) to read/check when opening these packs would solve the entire "issue"

It's a remote possibility, but there could be lag. You go to move over twice to select a card, and it only registers once or it registers 3 times. You're on autopilot and pick the wrong card. Still user error and you should make sure you're on the right card before pushing it through, but it could happen.

You could be relying on the new or x1 in the top corner, which is not always accurate. I got screwed on the retro Giants jersey because of that. It said it was new, but apparently I already had it. The same has happened to people with the player cards. You could argue that you should know what cards you've picked...but there are 30 players and 30 jerseys. If you're not actively using them and it's been a while in between picking them out, that mistake could definitely happen.
What everyone seems to overlook here is the fact that a development team in 2021 can't figure out a way to avoid user error in this instance. You shouldn't even have the option to select a card you already have if it's non-sellable, or at the very least it should be A LOT more obvious (greying out the color of the card, a dialogue box that pops up that says ARE YOU SURE / YOU ALREADY HAVE THIS CARD!). Maybe they just enjoy answering thousand of support emails for something that could be easily avoided.

I accidentally grabbed Train Horn twice apparently instead of Train Horn and Train Whistle in the unlockables. But I am very careful with the players.

This. I have a semi-photographic memory and I remember who I've been targeting for my 1 through 5 picks, so I just pick in that order so I never run the risk picking the same. Even if I didn't remember at the time, I would simply look at my collections first and see who I don't have before opening the pack. Duh!

I’m a stooge and picked Sixto twice by accident.
I was in a party and my friends were talking about using Sixto and in my head I was like I haven’t pitched with him yet I should take him with this 42 pack I’m about to open. Went to the pack scrolled straight over to him hit x went to yes and hit x again and as I was doing that I noticed the 1x up in the corner.
I haven’t posted complaining about and haven’t submitted a ticket about it either due to it being my own fault. But I wouldn’t mind if they added a 42 exchange for us dumb dumbs who picked the same player twice. Something like a 42 card and 20K in points worth of other cards would be just fine with me and if something like that doesn’t get added guess I’ll just have to finish another collection because I’m assuming the 99 Jackie will be needed for the big collection later.
And I can’t even remember what I did yesterday much less to have the ability to remember every card I have in my inventory

All I wanted to know was how people were falling into this trap, and things like that, so that I don't make the same mistake too. I also wanted to hear what other people had to say about it. I wasn't trying to be superior to everyone else. If anyone else feels like I am being superior, please share, because I didn't mean to post this topic in that way.
