I don't know what these first two guys are talking about. He is hitting .307, regardless of what has happened this week. As for his fielding, what universe are you living in? They are talking seriously about how he might be the best fielding first baseman in baseball right now and going forward. He has been making spectacular grabs and only poor deliveries from Biggio made him look foolish briefly a few weeks ago. 80-81 is not a good representation of the real world at all. Blue Jays bullpen is destroying this season as well and they are all rated as garbage players. I don't get it.
His ratings are not based entirely on this years stats. He has 36 games this season. That is not enough to negate the 183 he played the previous two seasons. This season does count more so if he is consistent he will continue to go up as more games are played and the previous 2 seasons are reduced in influence. .

No problem. It's a common thing that people just look at the current season stats and not take into account that SDS is counting 3 seasons worth of data.

Vladdy has had a pretty bad May so far, so let's relax...
If he's hitting like he did in April into the all Star break, he will be diamond.
They rarely update defense stats too btw. And ya, he's been playing great D.. but nowhere near the best defensive 1B.. relax there too.. -
Jesse Winker gets no movement whatsoever...??? If Castellanos gets +1, Winker should be at least +3...
