Finally found a PCI setting that works for me!

I use to have everything on and found this year that I am hitting much better with everything off other than the inner starfighterSpring Green at 70%. I will have to look at the reverd. Never did that. What color does everyone make theirs? I use the Spring Green at 70%.

Teal / blue color, 20%

I turned ON the outer and set it for reverb.
I set my inner to star-fighter. (I think that's what it's called)
I also turned OFF the circles/diamonds/dots in the middle. The issue I was having was too much focus on the PCI itself, instead of the ball coming out of the pitcher's hand.
With this setup, it's like I am looking through binoculars now and I am able to focus on the ball.
It's like a night and day difference.
Glad to hear it. It's all about personal preference. I love the diverse choices!

Pci off has been my go to the last 2 years. Nothing in the way to distract me
This is the best answer. Turn off all the noise and use the force.

I use Zone hitting with Analog to swing and PCI off and it is by far the best I’ve played with, I’m Mashing everything ...Sticks Reign Supreme over here! (Legend Difficulty BTW)

I switch back and forth between flick and buttons. Flick seems to work really well offline, but when I go online it seems to lag behind a bit, so I use buttons online.

Thank you for sharing this! I was focusing so much on my middle PCI, I would constantly be yanking it under the ball every time. I tried your suggestion and literally night/day difference. Thanks again that was a great tip for someone like me who was struggling with hitting.

Yes with PCI off you can focus more on the pitch at hand and not the dam PCI hoping your gona square it up with ball definitely can be a distraction...remember all it takes is a lil flick with left thumb in direction of where the pitch is going and it will find its place for you, you still have to aim it properly but that’s how it is for me at least
-
It’s almost simultaneously for me (I use right analog swing and left analog to Aim) where I’m swinging(pressing up on right Analog) and Aiming last second with left Analog...it’s very Rewarding especially on the PS5 controller

Trust me, you're not alone in this - hardest part of any sports game I've ever played.

Best PCI is no PCI.

I switched to this and am really loving it vs the elevation dots I was using. Cleaner sight for the pitch release and I'm hitting balls up in the zone much better. Thanks!

I’ll try this out.
I’ve always been taught “aim small, miss small” so I have the settings on just the inner as altitude. Nothing else. Been decent at time and slump at time. Why do i keep hearing this? when i went to rifle training it was " aim small miss big, aim big still hit the target".to teach us to aim for center chest.
I was a machine gunner and it was spray and pray. Same for my hitting lol

I think the thought process is instead of aiming for the chest, one should aim for a button on the shirt/chest. Focus on a smaller target within the main target. That's how I always understood it. I have no formal military/weapons training, but I have been around firearms since I could walk (hunting, etc).

I actually recommend turning the pci off.. it doesn’t work for everyone, but some people find hitting a lot easier with the pci completely off

The sayings arnt really comparable to each other in all honesty. Both are 100% correct in their own respective area. Basically aim small miss small is the second step in your training process, think of the term “center mass”, it’s essentially the combination of both. Mass is the greater surface area to aim for to give you the greater chance of landing the shot, ex. head vs chest (aim small miss big, aim big still hit the target). Center refers to narrowing your focus to allow for the greatest margin of error. If you aim for the whole chest you have a greater chance of missing as compared to focusing on the dead center of the chest.

I didn’t play mlb the show 20. Last one I played was 19. I only play RTTS. In 19 you could use timing hitting. So if you were on time you made solid contact. It seems in this game with RTTS being tied to DD, they don’t allow this. I don’t care to ever play DD or ranked seasons or any of that. Give me back my timing hitting for RTTS please!

It is all preference. Whatever works best for you. There is no correct answer.
