SDS: Can we retire the Roberto Alomar card please?
-
Imagine needing a safe space because a card was in your inventory. You don't have to use it though and it can be buried by getting better cards...
Seriously no one even knows what he allegedly did so who the hell are we to judge?
-
i understand the sentiment but i doubt they will remove the card for this years game. they didnt remove jose fernandez when he died. Most likely itll be gone by next years game

I don't think we'll see any additional cards, and those that have acquired him already would potentially be offered a comparable card to swap out.
They did this last time with Felipe Vasquez. Swapped him out for a FB Cole.
This is all I’m asking for. I don’t want to see a no sell card in my inventory all season.

I didn’t say safe space? We have pride flags available in custom stadiums, Jackie Robinson on the cover and a huge banner in MLB 20 for a month commemorating BLM. I’m asking all movements to be equally supported.

well technically MLB investigated and found evidence of wrongdoing. hence the move to move him to the ineligible list.

Stop with the cancel culture BS, He hasn’t been found guilty in a court of law so just relax already. It’s just a card in a game If you’re that concerned don’t use the card.

What movement is this supporting? The "lets jump to conclusions and judge someone with absolutely no facts about the situation" movement? Sexual misconduct can mean anything from telling a woman she looks nice today to unwanted penetration. Pretty sure its not the latter because he would be getting arrested right now. He's not being removed from the MLB HOF as per their statement so i think its safe to say that it was nothing violent. Again, who are we to judge? If you dont wanna use the card, dont. There are better 2B in here so buy them up and bury him. You literally dont have to see this card at all unless you intend to go to your inventory every morning to stare at it over a cup of coffee.

i mean he's essentially banned by the MLB so why should he be in an MLB game?

He was found guilty by the people who provision the cards to MLB The Show to use. I'm not asking him to be struck from the history books, I'm asking the game developers to follow suit with the people who gave him rights to his card to begin with.

Well technically, Manfred is a whiny [censored] anyway and he will say anything to avoid confrontation.

You're right, since every sexual assault is always prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Come on, they wouldn't do this for an unsolicited d-pic. This was serious [censored]

The Jays fired him because there is evidence, this IS NOT cancel culture.
I am supporting the victims.

just playing devils advocate here. I dont think he would be banned by the HOF or removed just because I dont think thats a precedent they want to set tbh. once youre in you are in. To my knowledge no player has been removed from the HOF after being admitted.

What conclusions? The one where we literally know nothing about this situation? Thats not jumping to a conclusion...thats stating a fact.
But feel free to tell me everything you know about this. Here i'll start....he was accused of "sexual misconduct" in 2014....thats all i got.
