This game has the worst pitching ever

Last year I played right at 300 RS games and my era was sub 3.3. This year I’ve played 20 and it’s 6.0. Lol something changed

I just tried throwing a fastball at the level of someone’s head, got early so technically it should be higher than normal. But it somehow goes right down the pipe and I lose on a walk off bomb. FML

Doesn't help either that the strikezone is the size of a pea. Nothing on the black is called a strike. You're forced to throw over the middle. At least in my experience so far.

There is literally no point to having a user interface for pitch accuracy right now. None

Same here, pitching has always been my strength. Sucks that I’m scared to pitch now lol.

Crying? Wanting to be rewarded for your swing is crying? You do realize those same people also say pitching is an issue to and want to be rewarded for good pitching input. Amazing right?
Yes crying. Had to listen all year about not being rewarded like the game owes you something. This is what most wanted right? So now it's going to reward your hitting skills so pitching takes a back seat.

So aren't you crying since you want pitching to matter more? Or are people who advocate for pitching exempt from "crying"?

On the contrary everything I’ve seen is on the black and called a strike. Online and offline doesn’t matter. I’ll play BR and get BS calls against me and the same thing on conquest mode. Pitching is this years “bad change”

Hmm. My pitches on the black and others are not called strikes when i play. Some do but it’s ones where most of the ball is I’m the zone, when technically if part of the ball is in the black, it should be a strike, but in my case they aren’t

same as last year,the game is not translating what the controller is doing. Therefore it's done by design and on purpose. Trying to be passed off as " pitcher control ".

I’ll second that on Glavine. Maddox is awesome, Smoltz is ok. Glavine got destroyed for me

Agreed, if you don’t get perfect pitch feedback then forget about it. Even when you get good pitch release the ball wont be anywhere close to where you want to put it. I use analog pitching, and if you don’t hit both the line and get the ball perfectly in the center you’re in trouble. Doesn’t help either that the strike zone feels so tight. Can’t get any calls on the black. Hopefully they figure out a way to fix this because every game feels like a home run derby because the ball is put down the middle so often.

I honestly thought my pitching was bad but I have a 8-3 record and have an era of 1.02 and avg about 3 runs a game I’m getting hit but I produce a lot of double plays

It sucks the most when you know you have to rely on your opponent being bad instead of you being a good pitcher. Throwing a curveball is the scariest thing to do in this game because if it’s in the strike zone then 70% of the time it’s going to be hit HARD.
The issue is not hitting. Hitting feels so good. But you don’t know where a pitch is going to go even with guys that have perfect control. If I hit the meter perfectly on a pitch it should go exactly where I want the pitch to be. That would be the most satisfying experience.
