Starting Rotation

Well, that’s fair. He’s been good for me but I’ve only played about 70 games online, mostly in the lower divisions. He was pretty decent in the event for me though.
-
He has given up 15-20 homers in 70 innings for Me

Personally, I can't use Verlander. He simply gets crushed by seemingly every above average player.
It's been very difficult for me to put together a rotation of 5 guys this year that I can even remotely trust.
Kershaw is IMO still the best pitcher in the game. Other than him I've recently been using Cole, deGrom, Grove and Seaver.
I have a bunch of guys still sitting on the shelf (Feller, Waino, Jenkins etc.) should I decide to kick someone out of the rotation, but they all seem to suck equally. Aside from Kershaw it's simply been a perpetual revolving door.

I still think SS Kluber is one of the most slept on SP in the game.
If you can locate his pitches on both sides of the plate, he is very difficult to hit.
Bottom line is, no pitcher in this game will ever be consistently lights out. You will always come across someone that is great at hitting no matter who you use.
I’ve used about almost every SP trying to get a feel of who is best and my rotation has settled as:
Kershaw, Sale, Ryan, Kluber/Seaver, Bumgarner

This the truth right here

I think early in the game Kershaw was elite but at this point everyone has seen him so much that he is very hittable. A few months ago I hated seeing him but now I tend to light him up. I switched him out of my rotation and went back to madbum about a month ago and he has been very good. His slider is solid, cutter is great, and his control is really good.

No doubt Madbum has become more effective lately as you see him much less than Kershaw. I would still rather hit against Bumgarner than Kershaw, personally.

MadBum, Greinke are wicked good, give them a try OP.

I find effectiveness is much more about command of high speed differential pitchers than it is about how good they are on paper. As a result I've kinda settled on Feller, Ryan, Verlander, Kershaw, Seaver - might swap out Ryan for a pitch-to-contact guy when stuck on AS. Don't get too caught up in OVR rating - I've got better stats with 90ovr Saberhagen than 99 Gibson because for whatever reason I dot corners and he's got a great change.
-
Early on I had alot of success with Whitey Ford. For me it seems that I have better games when my pitcher is an under the radar guy that you don't see alot now. Vida can still bring it hell Kevin GohD used him for awhile.
