The same people that want to remove directional hitting are the same ones that use strike zone cameras. That’s what really needs to be removed. What this comes down to is people getting angry because they are losing/have lost when they feel they should win because of how their opponent plays.

- Some teams run the wing-t (Football)
- Some teams go empty and throw (Football)
- Live and die by the three (basketball)
- Get inside for the easy score/foul (basketball)

I do not hear anyone complaining that throwing the ball 40 times "isn't football" or that shooting 3s isn't basketball. I don't think you get what im asking. Your issue is with something that's purely visual. Why would that matter in a ranked game mode where only wins and losses matter. If you want to enjoy every visual the game has to offer, ranked seasons isn't where you do that.

No... it's really not like that , and actually directional hitting is more closely align with how someone completes a pass in madden: press the right button at the right time and use the stick for more adjustments on the throw.
Again, We have two competitors who have an objective: score runs via hitting. Both competitors have a method of completing the task and each offers its benefits and draw-backs.
Lets use football as an example. You read like a coach who runs an empty offense coming into a run to rant about how wing t football isn't football and that teams that throw should only play against teams that throw. Teams that throw are better and it's more difficult than running the ball. The room reminds you that the goal is to score touch downs...and some teams run the ball and others throw. Instead of trying to prevent others from running their offense, why don't you improve your defense or learn to score more on offense?
Funny, football started with the run, and video game hitting started with the timing of a button-press.

i beat a guy last year with a 12-0 banner using directional in a hof seasons ranked game. im not a directional player i was just curious. directional is trash to use i just got hella lucky.

This is an easier method to play online with said so by the developers since the cpu will aim the pci for you thus not makin you worry about location..
Youre comparisom may be valid if...all i did as a.qb in madden was hit x to snap then hit x to throw. Letting the cpu decide where to the throw the ball and to which reciever..... thats a comparison thats close. However your long rant makes no sense.

You do still know you have to be accurate in your swing and direction of the bat to be successful right? You can still swing and miss at a ball down the plate if you are early or late and you can still miss a ball if your directional swing is up and in but the ball is down and away. "A chess board has no marbles" is a false equivalent. If people were trying to pitch footballs or hit a pitch with a hockey stick, your wonderful quote would fit. What this comes down to is people getting angry because they are losing/have lost when they feel they should win because of how their opponent plays.
- Some teams use small ball to win (Baseball)
- Some teams want to hit gappers and HRs (Baseball)
- Some teams run the wing-t (Football)
- Some teams go empty and throw (Football)
- Live and die by the three (basketball)
- Get inside for the easy score/foul (basketball)
- Using directional hitting (The Show)
- Using Zone Hitting (The Show)
I do not hear anyone complaining that throwing the ball 40 times "isn't football" or that shooting 3s isn't basketball. So I find it pretty rich to have a gamer come on a baseball video game forum and tell people how they should play and how one way of playing shouldn't be allowed in competition. When fact is that their preferred way of hitting (zone hitting) doesn't accurately simulate hitting a baseball either.
So quit your complaining. When the servers are back-up, login, and do what you do: Stair down Rizzo's crotch from your Strike Zone Camera and act like you're amazing because you're moving a curser around a square.
FYI - Before you start laying claim that I use directional, I am a zone hitter. I find the arrogance of PCI users hilarious. Get over yourselves.

In madden itd be like lettung the cpu throw for you....run for you etc. All you do is snap.

You do still know you have to be accurate in your swing and direction of the bat to be successful right? You can still swing and miss at a ball down the plate if you are early or late and you can still miss a ball if your directional swing is up and in but the ball is down and away. Listen. One of the lead developers said the cpu aims.... so yes letting the cpu aim for you is easier than actually having to put the pci on the ball. Directional is the easier of the two esp on any level below hof.
Maybe change the difficulty to hof for all of ranked seasons instead of progressing as you go.

Nope..why directional shouldnt be an option on competitive user based setting. If it relies on cpu to do half the work.

thats a crazy assumption, if youre like most people youve played hundreds and hundreds of games every year for years...of course its happened. if someone beats you, you automatically assume they must be using zone? or they wouldnt have beaten you?

thats a crazy assumption, if youre like most people youve played hundreds and hundreds of games every year for years...of course its happened. if someone beats you, you automatically assume they must be using zone? or they wouldnt have beaten you?
I assume everyone i play uses zone unless I'm sub 500 or in an event.
