Hitting is so great this year. I can finally hit on the later side off good. The exit velocities are higher this year. I crushed with Pete Alonso and the exit velocity was 110 mph. I cannot remember seeing such numbers last year.

Money isn’t the only way to be good. Just have to practice on higher difficulties to the pitchers that fool you the most. Learn how to take pitches, work the count, read a pitch then yank one out.

I think the only thing I have to say about hitting is that I wish it was slightly more forgiving as far as timing is concerned on rookie difficulty especially since there are likely a lot of first time players this year. I just hope we don't get what happened in 18 when hitting was amazing and then they nerfed everything to be lazy flyouts and soft grounders.

The only problem I’m having is against CPU hitting today. 8 home runs to the orioles on rookie when I usually don’t give up any.
But I’d rather them focus on making their servers bigger because the constant lag and server disconnects are annoying and this is just so far. It goes on game pass tonight, so they better make them HUGE

Only time I've seen a homer outside of the PCI is when it was inside and pulled with a power hitter. Other than that, it's been flyballs or groundouts for me.
Yeah if you are early and have the right launch angle then the pci may not match up

I haven't minded the hitting so far. If I make a mistake, it feels like it was my fault. I do agree that it seems like timing is the most important factor. I have had some good hits with great timing and poor PCI more than the other way around. It does seem like check swings have been fixed, for the most part. Can't complain about what I've seen so far with check swings.
Personally, I've been crushing balls to the opposite field and not having as much success pulling the ball. Though, I've always been fairly good going oppo. It just seems like I can't pull anything with success. Anyone else having that same situation?

Agreed! Stubs, lost progress, XP, and server issues are really thr only complaints. They are not nothing but at least it's not gameplay related for once lol
I'm luckier than a lot of people because I haven't lost stubs or anything yet. I keep getting the unhandled server error that some posts were complaining about the other day and the market has more lag than I'm used to, but otherwise things are pretty good on my end. Of course I haven't had a chance to play any online games yet so my opinion may change soon lol.
