Things I noticed and wonder about

Slow reactions from fielders, particularly on the infield. I know we’re not playing with all 99s yet, but it seems slow to me. And for reference, I was using 99 Jackie in BR, who has good fielding and reaction ratings.

Pretty sure the "white Nintendo controller" indicates cross-play. I've seen that on XBox as well when I'm not facing an XBox user

Correct. When you see a 'Controller Icon" next to a player name, they are on a different platform.

It's funny what you choose to answer in this forum. I don't want to be disrespectful because I know this is a tough job you have but you guys gloss over so many complaints and answer something like this that is so trivial. Why not answer some of the questions about the ballplayer and not being able to choose how to pick a position or any other of the long long list of complaints?
-
or provide a guide to linking accounts that doesnt lead to the loss of DD progression. that would also save the question coming up 50 times a day since launch...

some things we can answer quick and some things we need more alignment on.
Rather answer something than nothing.

I like the fact that devs actually reply and have a presence on the forum these days, I also fully understand that it’s often better to say nothing than to give us information that later transpires to be erroneous or inaccurate. Acknowledging the queries in some basic fashion, such as “We’re hoping to have news on that in future” or “I’ll highlight this for the relevant department” could never be detrimental and would at least alleviate frustration for some players who would otherwise feel ignored, or as if their questions had been “glossed over” as another member put it. We do appreciate having official responses though, or at least, I do.

curious about #2 myself.....

I understand that and like I said, I mean no disrespect. You guys all seem like good guys and I know you are trying. It's been a very, very frustrating start to a game I put 130 bucks on and find out that you get such little rewards compared to last year.

Opponent is holding R2 to look at what pitches your pitcher throws

Why does it go back to the main SD screen after playing a game, BR in this case. It should go back to the BR page.
-
When pitching, sometimes a little icon will pop up above my analog meter. What is that?
-
what is the blue circling when you’re camped under a fly ball? Is that the strafe mechanism? If so, it is hard to control. I’ve nearly missed a few because of that.
-
I like the postgame page that shows progress and parallels. But you can’t scroll down and see all your progress. Just whatever fits in that screen. I hope this can be fixed. @Collin_SDS_PSN
-
Fielding feels a little wonky. Infielders don’t have much range. The 99 Jackie Robinson can’t get to balls up the middle. He also came in on a slow roller and bobbled it.
-
Why can we see opponents PCI in the swing feedback? Not sure that’s a good thing.
-
Sinkers are still kind of ridiculous with their timing.
-
What does each icon mean after the player tag. The PS one seems pretty self-explanatory, but I played one that looked like a white Nintendo controller.
I'll try and give this a go as far as answering some questions. I could be wrong though.
- don't know
- I'm sure it has to do with early/late release. But I don't pitch with analog.
- It's either showing the range of the OF or where the ball will land. Depends if it's a small or very wide circle.
- What progress? Just parallels or everything from the game? If it's everything, then it's way too much to show on the screen.
5.Fielding range does seem a little small. Maybe it's because we're playing with slow/weak fielders, not 99's. - A lot of people wanted it in the game from last year and also wanted to see if the player was even close to the pitch.
- Personally, I haven't noticed an issue with sinkers. Curveballs definitely have a bite to them from last year. Which I won't complain about.

None taken. The team is working hard on the biggest issues and we want to have active conversations with our players, which is why we are here.

Why does the game force hangers 3-4 times a game and make my hits go to the warning track constantly

Yep, I think that’s what I noticed too.

At least what I’ve noticed so far, I don’t get as many hangers as last season pitching. Seems improved, and I’m still using analog like I did previously. I’ll have to get a handle on that pinpoint before I try it in games.

Since you are here, can you answer the question of rewards after conquest games? Are we not getting them anymore?

@Collin_SDS_PSN
Whys it so much more difficult to check swing this year? Was this intentional to make it more challenging?
is there actual controls to make the fielder Strafe? Or do they do it automatically?
Custom League menus are buggy, if your in multiple LGs somehow u see what’s on message boards from different LGs and it doesn’t show players online sometimes on the game challenge screen...
Why wasn’t any attention put forth into Custom League menu and options to emulate MLB 17 somewhat.? I understand it was probably afterthought, But it just would have been nice to see that get a slight overhaul...if not just adding online Franchise back all together.
it’s Hilarious PPL still play 17 til this day for that exact reason.

I think a lot of the check swings that I would have got in 20 that I'm not getting in 21 are pretty fair. The timing definitely changed and I feel like it's now tied to pitch speed, i.e. it's harder to check take a fastball than it is a slow curve or change. Because of this change, you really have to be light on that button to successfully check.
-
I use analog to swing with Zone anyway I think it’s way more realistic than just pressing a button to hit u can actually control It with a slight flick that’s just my preference but check swings are being called for strikes way more this year
