There is not enough XP rewarded across the board in this game
-
You got 20 days to do it. They probably just want people to space it out. Its not meant to be grinded in a weekend. Ive been playing since Friday and even with all the disconnects, I'm at 175K...and i have a life, a job, etc. At the rate Im gaining, i'll have 350K by Thursday and I'll have the program done by the end of next week.
-
You get loads of XP in Conquest. 3 inning games, pretty easy to win and you get 1500+ XP each game and a good chunk of stubs. I've already got over 125K XP just from Conquest alone.

I'm nowhere near saying I need to do it on first weekend. In my previous post I said I'm at 150k right now. But it's just because I played 30 hours in 3 days... If you have job, family and some other things in your life, you can't play so much everyday. My normal playing time is about 2-4 hours max and I'm not playing everyday
@Born2beWild007_PSN : Yes, you get 1500 xp for 3 inning game. But if you do some math, you need 233 three inning games for 350k. That's 11 games per day. And if we say each game is taking 20 minutes, you are still at 4 hours playing everyday...
I think it't too much and last year was a lot more friendly to normal players with families, jobs and so on.
And here you can't say it's time or money, because you can't buy xp (which I would never do) -
Totally agree with you @allmustfall16. Good thread.

Do an 8-player user-controlled HRD using the triangle button to fast forward the fly balls. I don't remember exactly how much XP I got but it's definitely over 3K.

I was a bit frustrated by the xp situation, but now I’m actually more annoyed by the, shut up it’s fine, low iq posts, as it’s not subjective...it’s been objectively proven in this post that it is an insane grind comparative to innings programs the past couple years.
Speaking for myself, I’ve played about 10 hours and am barely over 10% toward the boss. Sure, I should finish the conquest today, but 15k barely makes a dent.
Yes, they will release more content, but comparative to past years, the extra content was steadily released that made it so virtually anyone who plays the game a few times a week could feel like they can finish the program, within the current structure it feels like you’ll need those extra opportunities to reach it if you’re the type of person that plays a few hours a day. That’s a vast difference.
The one thing I would say though is I would not expect this to continue, SDS’ goal is to make anyone feel like they can reach the goal and they are continually making progress. It does no good for them if players get frustrated and casual players view the innings rewards as unobtainable, so I can’t fathom this was done by design. So either they throttled XP during the pre-release phase, or they entirely miscalculated and we’ll see increases to daily mission, moments, conquest etc in the near future,
-
I'm leaning towards the idea that they are going to have to adjust the XP gain. I don't disagree that we should wait and see how much XP player programs & Showdown will give us. But based on stuff we have already seen that has been nerfed into the ground (daily moments which are a joke & Conquest dropping from roughly 10% of what is needed to 4%) I'm not expecting big XP rewards from player programs or Showdown. Not to mention Showdown isn't even dropping until the 23rd which will be 2 weeks from when 1st inning completes. The other thing I haven't seen anyone mention is 1st inning is usually the longest inning of the year except the final one that runs basically indefinitely. I have no idea how someone who will be starting the 20th will be able to complete the 1st inning without using some sort of XP glitch.
-
They will probably monitor the first inning to see what percentage of people make it to the bosses. The game says I have been playing 36 hours, which I honestly I do not believe as I have not been playing 12 hours a day for the last three days. I do leave the game open in the menus a lot.
I am at 125,000 XP, but I will play the game more this month than any other month of the year. If I can't get to the bosses this month then I never will. And if I feel like getting to the bosses is impossible then I simply will end up playing less and less

As I mentioned previously, If their goal is to control the pace/rate at which people can earn rewards then capping the XP per day makes the most logical sense rather than nerfing the amount of XP you can gain aging various modes.

How would capping it solve anything? Some people may have 6 hours to play over the weekend but no time during the week. They'd basically be telling people "Screw you if you have less time to play during the week".

Thing is I believe there's already an XP cap in place. So despite that cap they imo nerfed or underestimated how much XP should be able to be gained from modes in the game.

Clearly there cannot be a cap if there were already bosses on the market within 24 hours of the game being released.
I don't know how but they were there.

Quit searching for ways to earn XP and just play the game and you will have an easier time getting there. I'm at 85,000 XP myself and I haven't even played as much as I like
I’m at 120k and didn’t get to play as much as I wanted too. They will be adding additions within the month to help like they did last year.

It would solve the problem of pacing the content if their goal is to make sure people cannot get these cards within 24 hours of them being available. If you only have 6 hours to play in week then you weren't getting a boss anyway.

some people got 500K XP randomly while they slept. They don't know what they did or how it happened, but that's how the bosses are already unlocked. A streamer was scared he'd get a ban due to it, but no one glitched the game, the game glitched.
I agree that there needs to be an increase to XP, or the total needed needs to be reduced. I fully expect that to take place before the 2nd inning.
-
I would be fine with the XP if you actually got it all the time. So many times, I've been screwed out of XP after playing and it not calculating
-
I assume there'll be player programs like last year that provides XP for the inning programs....?

There is. A player program and showdown are both on the schedule. Which is why I don't understand all this fuss when the things we are used to getting program stars from aren't even out yet

Yeah first one drops today per the in game schedule. But last year they gave what 30 stars iirc. Based on the conquest nerf we've already seen I highly doubt it'll give 10% of the XP needed to get to the 1st inning boss.

Something fishy is still going on Scomo has already maxed out at 650k XP
