How can you tell which version is ps5?

If you have it downloaded on your home screen hit the options button when on the icon for the game and go down to game version. There will be a check mark next to the version for that icon.

Great thank you and everyone else for the help!!

My PS5 started pre-downloading both the ps5 and ps4 versions of the game, do I need both or can I delete the ps4 version?

It is also showing the ps5 version as standard edition even though I bought digital deluxe

Sony needs to work on this there is no reason that both versions should preload on the same console.

I need to wait and see the DD stream before I will even pre-order.

The fact that Sony can't figure out how to make the correct version download in 2021 is a little embarrassing. Clearly Microsoft had enough foresight with Smart Delivery. Did Sony just not think this would be an issue? Do they not know how to make it work, or was there just not enough time before launch with people working from home?

I guess it could be worse. Sony may overlook some things and make boneheaded tone deaf decisions at times, but at least they're not eating paste in the corner like Nintendo.

Ya know, I may not care for Nintendo games (although I do like the last two Donkey Kong games), but they're hardly sitting in a corner. Rather, what they're doing is making some serious bank. The switch has already sold 85 mil in just four years, making it already the 8th best seller (better than anything Microsoft has put out) and they're not done. I believe when it is (and here comes the switch pro), they'll be third behind only the ps2 and ds family. You may not like their games, I generally don't, but there is no denying their success.

I (unlike you apparently) do like Nintendo games. I also own every Nintendo console and handheld except for the Virtual Boy. That doesn't mean I'm blind. Their online infrastructure is a joke. They can't even figure out standard features like in game voice chat from the 360 era. Want to talk in Splatoon 2? Here's an unnecessary phone app. The fact that they are charging for online is a PS3 era Sony level of arrogance.

The Switch may be a success and there have been a few great games like Mario Odyssey and Breath of the Wild, but there are also a lot of lazy ports from the Wii U generation (since only I and about 10 other people actually bought one) and half assed remasters like 3D Mario All-Stars. They also decided to end production and remove that game from their eShop for the sake of artificial scarcity.

Trust me. They may be making money, but they're paste eaters.

I actually bought a wii-u back when I still cared about Zelda and Mario, but I'm just not into those games anymore. My 15 year loves Nintendo and is a major Zelda nut, but I've been revisiting Demon's Souls for the last couple of weeks. Nintendo doesn't do it for me anymore, but I knew when I bought my son the switch, it was going to be huge. Combining a handheld with a console was pure brilliance.
