Pinch hitting ohtani in br

I’ve been having the same issue over and over when i send ohtani to pinch hit. I put him in to hit and then the next inning the game doesn’t let me keep him in to pitch. idk if this is because it would be over powered or what but whenever i try to press circle on the relievers page, it doesn’t let me leave. i’m locked until i pick a new pitcher.

How do you pinch-hit him?

I don't think his Live series is a pitcher so you wouldn't be able to pitch him? I'm not 100% sure, but I believe only his FOTF and Awards card is 2 way.

I had his awards card in a BR run recently. I thought maybe I could have him pitch the first game, and then use him as an outfielder or pinch hitter in the second game. There was no way to get him into outfield for game 2 (which I guess makes sense since he is in the rotation and you can't drop him from there in BR) and I was not able to pinch hit with him. For some reason I was only able to pinch hit with relief pitchers and not starting pitchers. That was really disappointing.

Could be b/c the current pitcher didn't face 3 batter minimum but also like others said depends on version.

You would've had to go into substitutions and physically place him in outfield if i am reading this right?
