Don't Get The Show 21 unless you have next gen

MLBTS Made by Sony San Diego
PS5 Made by Sony
I swear common sense class should be requirement in junior high.
Was op seriously trying to start a boycott of MLBTS 21 on MLBTS very own forum?
-
I love how people are writing off the game because of this when we know almost no details about it. It may be very limited. It could be a Franchise only feature. It most likely is an offline only feature.
-
This is a really silly complaint to be upset that a new console has a next gen feature that last gen can't do. That's expected.
-
If not having a feature that we didn't have for the entirety of the PS4's lifespan is the dealbreaker for you I have a feeling you weren't going to buy the game anyway
-
not a deal breaker for me. will stay on ps4/xbox one w/ mlb 21. need more info too on how create a stadium will be used.
i'm more into creating stadiums based off real life stadiums (astrodome, comiskey, tiger, etc). so waiting to see if that can be done in that mode.
-
Not having create a stadium is perfectly okay. Ps5 is sold out everywhere where im at. I just want to play the game. I see no reason to fly out to cali or somewhere where ps5 is available to purchase. You CANNOT tell us not to purchase a game. We don't need to be parented by you.
-
I dont see why people are getting so hung up on create a stadium when no one knows anything about it. From the looks of it, it's all going to be cosmetic. I doubt you can move outfield around and create 250 foot fences that are 80 feet high. I would assume you have 8 or 10 basic set ups that you can choose from the add on some other things to make the stadium more than just the base.
I really can't see it being in online at all because if the ps4 and Xbox 1 can't run it properly, they won't be able to run it properly online either and would be at a huge disadvantage. This will be a bare bones first attempt at this, I believe anyways

Gaming companies always do this, giving next-gen consoles exclusive features.
"Siri, how does capitalism work?"
You want next-gen features, you gotta pay next-gen prices. It's not an unreasonable ask.
People nowadays don’t understand free market and equal opportunity. They think they are entitled to everything.
-
ya i m not going to run around on a wild goose chase to get a xbx or ps5. Ill be happy w/ 21 on my last gen systems just fine.
-
I think OP is just salty they don't have a next gen system
-
I have some bad news...moving forward, do not expect too many updates for the PS4 and Xbox One versions. They'll hamper the next gen-experience. And the dev team will not split into two teams to make two different generations of the game. Game development is already a 12-15 month process with a full team working on one version of the game.
This is an unusual year. Yes, scalpers have ruined the next-gen purchasing experience, and I could give two-sh1+s about the "free market." People should not be allowed to purchase a new product and upsell it by 150%+, especially when the demand is incredibly high and stock low. It should be against the law, and I feel for people that are impacted by immoral practices.
Not only that but there are hardware components that are difficult to come-by since medical equipment manufacturing has increased due to covid. In due-time people will have next-gen systems. If you want to hold-out on the game, I understand; and the previous generations will be getting watered down ports moving forward.
@A_PerfectGame -- free market and equal opportunity are not the same thing. I like your posts, thoughts and opinions but those two terms are water and oil when compared to one-another.
Capitalism = Free and aggressive market
Socialism = Equality -

Good summary. Both are flawed in practice, sad emoji

Except capitalism generates wealth and socialism does not. That’s why capitalism is successful and socialism has never been aside from Scandinavian countries which is a whole other discussion as to why...and that why would never be possible in any country that has any sort of immigration unfortunately for literally almost every country.

Capitalism has also led to the death of the mom and pop shop and lead to super industries/companies that ultimately hold the country by the nads. Low prices plus the sake of convenience has led to multi billionairs who refuse to let go of their money.
Nobody shops at mom and pop shops because they're too expensive. Trickle down economics hasn't worked like intended and nothing is being done about it.

I know this is off topic but we’re educating the children on this forum so let’s keep it going.
They are both flawed because of one thing. The humans.
The concepts are great, until humans start interfering with them.
In implementing capitalism, the humans practice ‘every man for himself’ and succumb to greed. 80% of the wealth is controlled by 20% of the people. Or worse.
In implementing socialism, the humans in control succumb to greed and 80% of the wealth is controlled by 20% of the people. Or worse.
The divides are probably even worse but I’m just using the Pareto Principle as a fallback.
I’m not passing this off as fact, this is simply my opinion.
TLDR: basically humans ruin any chance we have to be equitable, regardless of the type of society. We suck, plain and simple.

What has me confused is that it appears the only version available for preorder if you have a PS4 is the standard, which you don’t get any of the diamond or gold player packs, etc...even though for the deluxe it says PS4/PS5 in the description but then says PS5 only when clicking to preorder

Only capitalism isn’t responsible for the death of 100s of millions of people and socialism is. In fact socialism always leads to death. The gulags in Russia in the 20th century, Maoist China, Stalin, hitler, Venezuela the list goes on. They aren’t even remotely comparable as far as the level of catastrophe they cause. Capitalist countries are sustainable economically —socialist countries are not.
That is mainly due to the fact that capitalism generates wealth. It does like you said put a lot of wealth in a small percentage of peoples hands however generating it makes for progress.
Socialism does not generate wealth. Using the wealth that is available from when the country WAS capitalist up until the point that the money runs out and then people began to eat their own family members (sounds over the top but their were actually signs put up in Ukraine stating “it is not ok to eat your children”) back in the 20th century
The argument you are making is capitalism and socialism aren’t the answer I can agree. But that’s comparing apples to oranges.
