Christian Yelich

Yelich can not start at an 85 in MLB The Show 21 like he ended 20. He is a top 5 player in baseball! Okay he had a down year, sure. You guys say you use a 3 year average to make ratings. But in the last 3 years he has won MVP, should have won MVP and had a down year. Guess what that still averages out to a top like 10% player in the MLB. He was that good in 2018 and 2019. But yet you have guys that have only played 2 years or are rookies or just guys that did well last year ahead of Yelich! That is ridiculous!

So, where should Arozarena start?

Rating changes throughout the year are solely based on that year performance. Starting ratings at launch are based on three years. So the launch ratings for every player will look a lot different than their mlb 20 rating rn

I imagine they'll bump a few of the guys up that plummeted. The aforementioned Yelich and Arenado are perfect examples. SDS had tough calls to make with the truncated season cuz everyone loves da roster updates. Adjustments will be made imo.
JD Martinez is certainly another that I'd think has to start as a gold, right?

Like an 80 overall gold IMO

I have a feeling Yelich will be 87-89 to start the year. I agree that he doesn't deserve to start as an 85.
