I like this game a lot. It’s very rewarding for the most part. I feel like skill is definitely a factor.

Here are a few things in my humble opinion should be improved. And also things that are great improvements

    **To improve **

    1. Perfect perfect should be hits by maybe 10% more I Would say out of all my perfect/perfect contacts. I’ve had about a 60% hit rate. That rate seems more reasonable for good/squared. Perfect perfect should be a hit the vast majority of the time. I don’t know if this increases on the higher difficulty yet.

    2. Defense should matter. Yes. I think you guys are on the right track with it. As far as guys getting to balls they might not. Or not making hard plays. But there is an issue with players locking onto the pop icons. And and it’s not “red” hard plays. Also the ball falling out of the glove. Just stop. No need.

    3. Mistakes on perfect meters directly down the middle on full energy/full confidence? Why are the mistakes always DOWN THE MIDDLE? this is not a MAJOR issue cus it happens way less then it used to but it’s still annoying. I get it if the pitcher is low on confidence and stamina but even then he’d be all over the place not hitting a middle spot every time.

    Edit**

    1. Pitch speed as someone pointed out is def way too slow. Actually oddly slow not really sure what the thinking was behind this.

    **Major improvements **

    1. People are not fouling a million balls off in the dirt. THANK YOU. For the love of god. That alone is such a huge deal to me.

    2. The hit engine is way better overall. Balls hit gaps. Not every grounder is to the defense. They sneak through. I feel down 3-4 runs I can come back. I feel like the game is in my hands more.

    3. Content is amazing.

    4. Servers are smooth for me. (Though I did notice others getting disc here and there however for a launch they are pretty [censored] good.

Good job with this one over all. Kudos.

I agree. I do think that perfect/perfect will be hits more than 60% once we all have 80+ power throughout our lineups. The beta was all 99s, so it makes sense it was more rewarding there.

Pitch speed not an issue ? I haven’t played the game yet but it’s looking really slow in the videos I’m watching, like slower than 18 on its release ...

Yea you hit the nail on the head. I’m enjoying just need to make pitch speeds slightly faster so I don’t have to say 10 hail Mary’s before throwing a fastball.

Would be a great game if not for pitch speeds and inability to get strikeouts

Not sure we're playing the same game. I agree with a lot of what you said with the exception of the foul balls. I've only played about 5 games but the amount of foul balls on bad timing is still a major issue. The amount of contact on balls well out of the zone is still a major issue. And like you said, the fastball is irrevalent in this game right now.

Agreed and said the same sentiment yesterday but not as in depth..Wasn't with the dumbness of others at that moment. Severs run smooth, the game itself is smooth..Very fluid with the way it flows graphics wise..Way more hits that dont seem on a rail, that's huge for me. Had not one problem with 19 except the foul balls.. Those who will be quick to refute that not , I'm not hearing it. That game was dope asf with content to this one. This one is going to top that I think and IMO..Down to how the ball sounds coming off the bat, especially when he launch one..Love those replays online as well. Person I'm playing will dictate the frequency they get that. Late to win or tie, getting it. Cheesy player? Getting it..Straight moon shot gets it as well. Regulara HR? Na.Unless they fit the criteria

I haven't played enough to have a lot of knowledge, but do the off-speed pitches seem to break more from last year? I noticed the changeups seem to die at the plate with a decent drop-off. If the fastballs were quicker to the plate, this game would be light years ahead of last year's gameplay.

No worries, hopefully they patch that soon, not a difficult thing for them to fix... Just kinda surprised after speeding it up someone would think it’s a good idea to slow it down again...

Like , actually love the movement this year. I noticed first game online yesterday input does indeed matter.. As far as pitch speeds I believe it will speed up.A little learning curve to make for input that matters would thrown potential new players away and I believe frustrate us a little as well. Trade all those things for input hands down

Just played my first RS game. I noticed the player's power numbers actually matter. Not too many down the middle pitches on perfect release...I like it.

They should take away the contact swing using O. That is how you can get a lot of Foul balls with the PCI increase.

im sorry, but isnt that like in real life? if hitters think about getting contact with 2 strikes they usually can foul off a decent amount of pitches, with 2 strikes anyway...

The game is not real life, in real life you would get called for a balk from the stretch if you do not stop. DD does not use a Balk. The AL uses a DH, this game in DD does not use DH at all etcd........
