Should SDS fulfill all million stub orders in MLB TS 20?

3 month waiting lists for an in game card is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard lol. If someone grinded or paid for 1,000,000 stubs they should be able to use the card. Its a fantasy baseball game not some 4 month degree in Willie Mays video game usability.

What are you talking about? You can go and get Willie Mays right now. Like at this moment. All you need is a 900 rating, which isn't NEARLY as hard as going 12-0. Literally anyone can make WS, even if you're mediocre. All you need is patience and persistence. But I guess I hit the nail on the head with those 2 words, many people don't even possess one of the two nowadays and prefer freebies.

Absolutely not.
Rare cards should exist.
I also like that the market is capped at 1 mil, which makes the rare cards virtually impossible to obtain at this point. This minimizes the pay-for-play aspect of the game.

OK - the gauntlet has been thrown down. I'm mediocre. At least I think I am. I'm going all-in on RS for the next week, and I'll let you know what happens.
Either way... there are cards in this game that SHOULD be reserved for those that EARN them.

I've never played you in game so I can't judge your skill level objectively, but I know a bunch of people who label themselves the same way you just did and they can make WS as well. It takes them longer because they need to play more games (you will lose a game or two, or maybe even 50 or 100), but eventually perseverance can 1000% get you there.

I don’t know, you need a lot of luck to make World Series... I lose so many games where I am on the wrong side of the luck, it’s I don’t how to get better really. It’s not like a play bad or make bad pitches or don’t square the ball up, but it just seems like every time I get to the high 700s, low 800s I get the bad side of this luck constantly... Look maybe it’s just me I went my first year into my second opening over 5,000 packs before I even pulled a diamond, so maybe there something wrong my account or I’m just really unlucky human being, I don’t know.

True, but no one is going to be playing '20 in a month. Unless I underestimate how many people just LOVE this version of MLB:TS and will keep playing it.

I think there are people that will be skipping 21 due to concerns of development under the current circumstances (Covid-19), it can be surprising how many will skip.

Very true, WS isn’t hard, and even a mediocre player can make it, sometimes it even makes a mediocre player feel super duper special, like you for example. None of your flex is relevant to the fact there’s dozens of cards at 1,000,000 stubs with zero supply being added. If anyone got this game at Christmas for example, they could very easily assume they could use the players in this game, which they cannot, not even with GOD TIER patience and persistence lol.
It’s one thing to make 1,000,000 stubs off primes when the Trout collection drops due to supply and demand and an entirely different issue when the game isn’t being played enough throughout the year to supply to community with cards.

Ehhh I'm gonna disagree with you a bit here, you need to be at least a somewhat above average player to make WS. You certainly do not need to be elite and can 100% get a lucky Mickey Mouse banner, but you've still got to be able put up at least a handful of runs on HOF consistently. A lot of people can't do that. Hypothetically yeah, if you're willing to play 200 ranked games you could go like 110-90 and probably make WS but very, very few people have the time to do that.
As far as fulfilling million stub buy orders though, hell no. Not even remotely should they do that.

I agree with most of what you said up until this point; enter the impatience argument. People can make WS with this exact example you mention and that was the entire point I tried to argue.

I agree but even then, to go 110-90 playing mostly HOF games would still make you a somewhat above average player. In reality most people who make WS are solid players because almost nobody has the kind of time available to play .550 baseball and compile enough games above .500 to eek into WS.

But it's possible and you adapt quick to those HOF sliders. The real reality is that a lot of people shy away from it, instead of taking the challenge head on. Enter the perseverance argument.

No they shouldn't
This is the first time since I started playing that the WS rewards help value or even increased over time. Last year I had all the WS rewards without ever making WS, this year I think I have 2 cause I figured they would follow previous years and decrease in value. These cards remain rare and making WS pretty much bets you a 1M profit which is what you want.
My only request is that SDS balances out some of these cards for 21 so that the path remains similar to hard one year easier they next.
-
No they shouldn't. The best thing they've done this year is make stubs available. Getting rid of caps/inflating supply will make that worse.
-
these cards are earned, not given. this is the mentality thats gotten so many youngsters in trouble, want it all given to them but not work for it.

The excess stubs are what have led to the deluge of million dollar orders. Eliminate that, and those who have a million will be able to get their card in a timely fashion.
Thing is, you've always been able to buy any and every card in the game. You just have to have been willing to put in the work, in the case you're not good enough at the game to win them outright. I have them all this year, just like I've had them all for the last four years.
All you've had to do is work the market, take into account that br and event rewards (although SDS totally screwed these with rewind packs) become super expensive over time, and put together your collection.
However, a lot of people didn't want to put in the work, and were content gathering in all the free stubs while not recognizing that while they were accumulating them, so were others.
Then you have those who came to the party late, crying that all the door prizes are gone. I have absolutely zero sympathy for someone who came months later, and then complain they can't get hold of a Jones or Wagner card, as well as numerous others.
Long post made short. Get rid of handing out millions of stubs, then those who have will obtain.

Yeah, completely disagree with you. It's only a handful of cards that were unobtainable at launch because of excessive 1,000,000 orders. In fact I could say two - Wagner and Chipper. Which are 12-0 rewards. All the WS rewards were affordable until recently. Removing free obtainable stubs from playing the game will only result in people who pay to play, or play the market - I did note to said play the market in your post, the most boring thing to do in a baseball game and I won't do it - having the stub count to receive 'unobtainable' cards.

You kind of just proved my point. We didn't have all these massive amounts of million stub cards, until SDS decided to hand out millions of stubs
In fact I could say two - Wagner and Chipper. Which are 12-0 rewards. All the WS rewards were affordable until recently.
That's what happens when everyone is loaded, with nothing to spend them on.
Removing free obtainable stubs from playing the game will only result in people who pay to play, or play the market
Or those good enough to earn them. Those three methods are the way it's been for years, and is as it should be.
I did note to said play the market in your post, the most boring thing to do in a baseball game and I won't do it - having the stub count to receive 'unobtainable' cards.
I do believe SDS has learned the error of their ways. There are people who would buy stubs, but with the lines the way they are now, will not. That's lost revenue for SDS, and I would have to believe they are looking to change that. If you aren't good enough to earn them (and I'm not), aren't willing to break out the wallet for (I will not), or willing to work the market (now this I will do), then these cards will remain unobtainable for you.
