MLB THE SHOW 21 PROSPECTS FUTURE STARS
-
So this is something I was just thinking about and it got me curious on other people's thoughts as a Dodgers fan my list will have Dodgers on it as I don't follow other teams this is something I'd like the community to come together and possibly give SDS an idea in what we might want to see. In terms of content specifically with the Prospect and Future Stars cards. My list for the Dodgers off the top of my head goes as follows
FS Edwin Rios (to my knowledge he never got a Prospect or Future Stars card his 94 in TS 20 was a Topps now)
FS Kiebert Ruiz (only got a gold Prospect in TS 20)
Prospect and FS Josiah Gray
Prospect and FS Kody Hoese
Prospect DJ Peter's
Prospect and or FS Cody Thomas
Thoughts on who we see as Prospects and Future Stars in MLB TS 21?
-
I'd like to see a Kody Hoese card. He went to high school with my nephew.
-
I hope Wander and/or Adley are available through the XP reward path day one. Having one of them early on would be great.
-
Austin Martin could be a beast with all the position eligibility..ketel marte type
-
No 90+ Future stars please.
-
If I may ask, why?

I liked Future Stars cards. They were fun and brought more variety and options for your squad

I agree. A lot of these prospects are just that, prospects. Giving them jacked up cards isn't fair to them as they may never reach let's say 94 rated and up in real life.
Then, when you check their Live Series card they're a sorry a** Silver or beat up Bronze. -
I think they should give you mid80’s-high 80’s prospect cards, and make them prestigeable into a 90’s future star card. Although i didn’t have any problems with the FS cards, my FS team in the one even got me bellinger

All year long we were getting highly rated future stars cards that could of been legends. I made a rant thread about it here!
-
I think future stars cards are fun..they go obsolete pretty quickly though. So don’t see the harm
-
At the end of the day it is a video game..and they’re no different than half of the finest. The stage 2 affinity guys were useful but by stage 3 they were obsolete..even now. How many future stars you see in lineups. I see Nate Pearson, and that’s pretty much it

For the love of god, I agree

As long as they don't make the same mistake they did last year and trot out the Future Stars and the high-end Prospect series cards backwards and mess up the rating delta between them in the process.
That was the only issue I could come up with in terms of the content last year (it was amazing and a shining light during the early months of the pandemic) so don't get me wrong. With that said, I'd love to get a diamond Dylan Cease and Garrett Crochet early on.
-
I think it’s great for a team build..you don’t see them in too many lineups anyways. They have to juice em so people will enjoy them whoever wants to use them. Other than Robert and Pearson. There weren’t many I used. Maybe the Nolan brothers when stage 2 affinity dropped
-
I loved that Taylor Trammell card earlier this year. He and Pearson are really the only 2 I recall using much at all.
-
I don't understand why people dislike the FS Cards they are a snap shot of what a player could potentially be based of their hype or their potential. But we are all entitled to our own opinions. The way I see it is the FS cards are a 1 year card like I don't expect to see a FS Dustin May, Lux, Robert, Pearson and so on, plus as has been stated previously they have to be juiced to be competitive against the legend cards. I do believe they need to separate the Prospect and Future Stars, like the guys that are close to the Majors get a Future Stars and the guys who show promise but are a little ways off get a Prospect card.
-
pls no high rated cards. no way any prospect should be rated above Trout's 95 card. If they want to do prospect/future stars they need a cap. A cap of 90 would be nice.
