I'm sorry, but the audacity of this guy who had been bunt dancing all day when I took to long to pitch, and had tried bunting with both ty cobb and Kenney Lofton all day (he was unsuccessful in his 3 other attempts) to break up my perfect game in the 8th inning with a bunt? Disrespectful af, especially because he has a 12-0 BR banner and he was in World Series. It's one of those unwritten rules, that you don't do that. smfh. Personally, I think that this toxic behavior and mindset this person has no place in our community.

and honestly it's a problem, no respect for the game. I'm totally fine with Tatis breaking down some of the stupid unwritten rules this game has, but some of them, like respecting a no hitter and perfect games by not bunting for a base hit. Should still be respected. Show some respect to the pitcher

I am 100% in favor of bunting to break up a no-no or perfect game. The rest of what you described however, I am not in favor.

It's a video game. Get over it and move on.

Nit like there's any unlockable achievement for pitching a Perfect Game.

And even if there was; who cares.

I agree with it all. The only time I wouldn't be in favor of it is if the game is one sided. If you're up 8-0 and the guy is bunting that's bush league in my opinion. If it's a tight game though and they're attempting to bunt for a hit to get the tying run on board, I can understand that. They're trying to win a game and not protect someone's no hitter.

I care, and I think a lot of people would give a [censored] if their pg was [censored] by a bunt cheesing child

Yeah you are right about that, but it was 5-0 so it wasn't a blowout, but it wasn't close either

The threshold for disrespect is 2-0 in my opinion. If a bunt hit gets the tying run to the plate, then I don't have a problem with the bunt, but a 3 or more run lead should not see a bunt attempt after the 7th inning,

Yeah bunting when you're down 5-0 in the 8th inning I can see the frustration. At that point it seems like he was bunting to only break up the perfect game which I agree, isn't cool. Bunting to try and get the tying or go ahead run on base late in the game is different.

Depends on who he bunted with. If it was someone who realistically might bunt to try to start a rally, I would have no issue with it.

5-0 with two innings of at bats left is not a "safe" lead in this game.

If he's bunting with Ruth or Soto or someone like that, then that's cheese.

No issue with it. Up to you to defend it, this isn’t day one. You should expect it by now.

Its a competition. You try to best your opponent, they try to best you. If you're more concerned about respecting the game, and taking 3-0, go play something else.

Bunting is part of baseball. If someone does it with 2 outs or two strikes it’s very cheesy and unrealistic.

But bunting with lofton or Cobb? Eh. I mean they are speedsters...

I agree. Even without a no no going, I’m bringing my 2B in (or however else you want to defend a drag bunt) when Cobb and company are coming to the plate.

Also, no hitters and perfect games mean less in this game. I’ve had many no hitters in the event, some as long as 10-12 innings. It doesn’t mean much because plenty of us struggle to hit on legend.

that fact that your opponent tried to bunt multiple times in this game you should have pitched where he would not have got the bunt down fair.

If you read the thread I already mentioned how I don't mind what tatis is doing, and that some of the rules are stupid.... But ruining a perfect game by bunting? nah, especially when he was bunt dancing beforehand

Meh, it's a videogame, I have no issue if my opponent wants to bunt to break up my perfect game, I don't' consider it "disrespecting" the game.
