I said WS players in a deep run ( implied BR ). There was a long thread about what people do/ will do for the 12th win and some good players said for the 12 th win they would do things they wouldn’t do in RS. Just stating facts. Luckily your opinion is just that , your opinion on who is good. Just like my opinion is just that, my opinion.

Facts don’t have opinions, just saying.

My b, I confused that with ws run bc it’s often 11 or 12 games to reach ws as well. Honestly I’d like to know what players would try to rely on cheesy plays in any game, cuz I’m still not convinced they’re good. And if they are, they’re def in the minority. Most top players ik wouldn’t play like that regardless of the circumstances.

i suck at bunting so i avoid it to avoid giving free outs to my opponent. Some games you cant buy a run so in some instance if i knew how to bunt you bet your sweet [censored] i would

Ah yes, Harmon killebrew, a notable small ball player.
Lol it’s December “let me press triangle and have the game score me a run”

Just putting out a different perspective but if you like prestigious cards it might seem like a safer bet to get that Rbi with a bunt than risk hitting a HR that gets dashboarded.

In RS it's pathetic. But in BR anything goes! And in events I'd probably do it if I was grinding it and thought it had a good chance of working. Time saved is a precious commodity sometimes!
I also have no issue with people doin it to me for the same reasons.

However, the people that take the extra lead every pitch, the people that call time at the plate in EVERY 2 strike count (Yes, I experienced this very recently!), the practice swingers of years gone by, the bunt dancers, the habitual HR replayers, the ones that try to make u think a can of corn is a HR by sprinting towards the wall, and finally, the people who take the near maximum time between every pitch in a FUTILE attempt to fool the batter into thinking a PHAT one is coming right down the pipe via auto-pitch, did I cover everyone? Well........

They can all choke on a BBC!

    Love,

    Bill

    Happy Holidays everyone.

You forgot the people that do not hit X in between batters and plays but instead watch the entire batter walk up animation.... press the button people!!
    The absolute worst.

There’s no toxic hair on my body, but every so often, I don’t press it because I’m checking text messages in between at-bats, etc. Other selfish times, I’m making sure my jerseys and bat are looking clean together.

Maybe it was a smart play. I mean the guy won, right?

My point was, and is, I would not bunt with Harmon Killebrew.

The outfielder’s arm didn’t come into it. It was a perfect bunt past the pitcher’s mound. Nobody fielded it before the run scored.

It wasn’t about testing my fielding. It was about scoring a run when you are struggling to hit.

If he wanted to test my arm, he would have tried to get the ball into the outfield to score on a sac fly.

THAT is what I would have done. If it failed, I would be fine with that, knowing I did a baseball thing in a baseball game.

I didn’t say anything about the OFs arm. I’m talking about your inability to make a perfect throw. It takes a whoooooooole lot less skill than hitting. I love seeing an opponent make an error. I can beat them almost every time, and I’m terrible.

Did you miss the part where I said I use buttons? It has nothing to do with ability. You press a button and the game does math to decide whether the throw is good or not. Ability does not enter into it.

Also, the thread is about bunting with a power hitter, not how good you are at defense.

I don’t see what the problem with bunting is when there’s a shift that counters it perfectly. Btw most of the people playing in December are the ones who would cheese.

Considering you have over 100 sac bunts this year, I’m not surprised to hear you say this.

Auto shift is worse than bunting for me and the only thing worse than that is the constant pausing. In fact in the past 2 days I have experienced all the above mentioned by everyone here when normally it's rare.

Ive seen a few people in this thread say bunting is cheesing and takes no skill, yet play their home games at Shippett. Some think that playing in that park also requires little to no skill.

It’s weird that the the majority of guys who have more skill than anybody at this game (Top 50 players) almost exclusively play at Shippet tho.

All minor leagues have a better refresh rate. So they can’t use that excuse. Why they do it, it’s because they don’t have to hit the ball well to hit it out. They can get away with a lot less accuracy than say a minor league park with less altitude.

That being said, I suck and lose anywhere. Although I do notice I score few more runs ( Home Runs tbh) when I end up at shippet than when I am home team at Citibank. Although I give up more runs too in shippet . Lol.
