Team Affinity 2021

So I will say, I absolutely loved the team affinities this year. I think universally we agree that it was a major step up from previous entry’s.
That being said, what would you like to see next year if they keep the 4 stages?
I’d imagine that Prospect and Future Star cards aren’t going anywhere any time soon.
Would you like to see a FS card as the first stage reward? I think in the beginning of the year it would be more fun to see one of each teams top 3 prospects get an early card.
Realistically whether you like the FS cards or not, they get you invested and when you see that player coming to the majors afterwards, you hope they do well. It breeds new fans in a since, if you enjoy a players card, you may follow them a bit closer. It’s a great marketing tool.
Seeing guys make it to the majors this year: Mountcastle, Graterol, Bohem, Horner, and so on was cool to watch and see how they did.
Would you rather they stick with the same formula or stick to legends only, maybe one of each card type? FOTF, Award, Prime, Sig? Maybe a new card type all together?

1st Stage reward I'd rather be FotF cards (or whatever equivalent) because when you're starting out the year, you'd rather chase after names you know rather than unknown unicorns.
If I were running things, I'd release all the prospect cards at the beginning of the year. Then, as they make their debuts, release a program that eventually earns you their Future Star version.

If I were running things
I officially nominate you.
I have no reason to oppose this nomination other than I will run for this hypothetical election.

All I truly want card wise in 2021 is a Prime/Sig Carl Crawford with the Rays. For years he was our only good player. I like the design of Prime cards more as they are true cards from the past. I like to collect those cards if I don’t already have them.
My question with Face of the Franchise, is how do you do this without repeating some of the same players from this years?
Do the Pirates truly have someone other than Josh Bell? Maybe Tallion? Do they stick to the majority of guys who got Finest cards this year? As a majority of the players are the true “Face” of their Franchise.
Tigers - Matthew Boyd/Candelario
Diamondbacks - Peralta/Gallen
Red Sox - Devers/Bogarts (maybe Chavis?)A lot of the lower teams would be pretty handicapped with who they could choose from without repeating.

I’d like to see prospect cards as evolution programs: prospect to future star. More or less the same as the old rookie to prime evolutions from a few years ago.
It gives a reason to use the prospects cards. There are always so many cards available and it means so many fall by the wayside. At least this would incentivize using the prospects cards since they’d lead to better cards as you use them.

Something a little different but will never happen: put the team stadiums in the affinity paths, and get them out of packs.

So far the only thing consistent about TA is that it completely changes every year. So that is all I expect.

Yes you’re right it changes every single year. So that means that it changed this year because last year was the first year of team affinity.

Yes, exactly. Honestly I couldnt remembered what they called those Player things in 2018. Wasnt sure if that was the first TA or not. But I knew 2019 had them and this year was totally different.
