Buy Now Prices for Fifth inning Bosses Mo, Big Papi and Larry Walker have dropped about $100K each since the holiday bundle came out.

Yeah... Thats gonna happen when cards are given away for free.

It was a wild ride yesterday when the pack first dropped. Buy and sell orders were being filled as quickly as I could place them. I got Walker and Ortiz who I didn't have, and I made a ton of stubs in the process. That was definitely a nice surprise.

the problem with being a UK player is these packs/bundles usually drop in the afternoon/evening US time while we're asleep - woke up this morning to Sell Now my Ortiz for 21,000. Hardly as exciting as the 200,000 he would have been worth before the packs dropped!

The market is now officially a wreck. There are at this moment 20 players with $1M price tags.

"The market" is not a wreck.

The 20 current 1M cards can be divided into 3 categories:

    1. An event reward that requires 40 6-inning wins that dropped less than 24 hours ago. He'll be less than 500K in 72 hours or less.

    2. Ranked Rewards. Willie has a 300 order backlog, Ted is 44, and everyone else is less than 20. With a new season starting in less than a week, you'll see more players fall off this list.

    3. BR rewards. This year there were 19 Flawless rewards. (Last year there were 15.) Which means there's more demand per card than was previously being supplied.

The market doesn't have a problem. Late-game BR has a problem in that there's not enough people playing (and going flawless) to meet demand.

    Steps they can take:

    1. Lower (or eliminate) the entry fee to jack up the user base.
    2. Keep Chipper & Wagner as 12-0, demote everyone else to 12-1 (or create a new 10/11 win tier).

I've been thinking about your second point for a while. I wouldn't actually mind if they moved all but Mays, Pujols, and Maybe Ted of the WS rewards to CS too. You are going to have to some weirdos claim that "the cards are meant to be exclusive" even though they just take Mays from WS and Chipper/Wagner from BR anyway. The only time any of those other rewards are chosen are when WS/12-0 players already have the main choices and want another one. They aren't chosen to get sold, even if they are the same price or not

Yeah the market is a train wreck. The Fifth inning boss cards we grinded for and we’re being sold on the market a few weeks ago for over $300k can now be bought for around $20k. That’s not a stable market.

Gee ... did anything happen in those few weeks that would explain such a precipitous drop?
