Is the Arrieta card trash?

Or is it just me (as usual)? This guy has like no out pitch. I took the stubs after two terrible outings, but maybe I didn’t give him enough time?

Bro he’s azz. Only reason I haven’t sold him is because I collect every card possible. Verlander has been ok but Jake is useless

I won't write him off cause I used him only once, but it didn't go over so well. General consensus is he's trash so know that going in.

Not a huge fan but pitched way better with Arrieta in the last event than Verlander. With Verlander, the ball NEVER went where it was supposed to which makes it kinda hard to pitch..........

That sucks. I was looking forward to Verlander. I faced him finally and he looked ok, but I could get my bat on the ball. Plus if memory serves he has Cole syndrome with the low hr/9 so that won’t play well online with all the goons at Shippet.
Oh well, at least I’ve had fun in the events and have a shiny Bellinger and a bunch of players prestiged/close to prestiged.

He’s still bad but HR/9 have no impact in online play

Really? I didn’t realize that. I figured it made the opponent PCI stronger (I actually have zero clue how it works lol I just thought a low number was bad haha)

I love that card, he has been lights out for me. Ground all machine. But I play on HOF so his stuff probably plays up the higher the difficulty level. Keep in mind everyone gets rocked on All Star

Arrieta card is mainly 2 pitch mix; Sinker/Slider combo so it’s not trash but more of a #5 starter
I would comp to that Tom Seaver card which plenty of people had success with

Love using him.

I’ve used him on allstar and hof. He just doesn’t have the good speed differential on his pitches. Also watched on of the best players in the game Cbrev use him. He got lit up and lasted 3 innings.

He doesn't have any go-to pitch. The sinker is ok, but most people who have been playing for awhile can hit a sinker now. I didn't like him

I’ve only faced him once and put 6 on him in the first inning. Years ago that card was a nightmare!

Tiny sample size but I used him for 5 innings in the event and gave up just 1 run, 3 different outings

Yeah, I'm not that impressed by his pitching either. However, I am impressed that he just went yard on me in the last game I faced him lol, go figure.

From years past I always remember his delivery made it really easy to pick up the ball.

In 17 he was really, really good. But totally different engine.
