How often are you guys actually able to score from third on a sac fly?

I just had Minnie Minoso thrown out at home on a fly ball to deep center. It wasn’t even close. I selected the runner and hit advance, I was even waiting so go as soon as the ball was caught, and Minnie still took his sweet time taking off.

It’s almost like the game decided he was going to be out, then made him take off late just to be sure.

Has this ever happened to any of you?

    vs CPU or Hooman?

If it’s hooman, it could have been a way to artificially reward a perfect outfield throw.

Sometimes they don’t get a good jump. Yes. But throw speed vs. running speed has been out of whack all year.

WIth the input lag in online games, you need to send the runner almost a second before the outfielder catches the ball if you want to have a good jump. Once you get the timing down, you will have way more success on sac flys or runners tagging from 2nd to third.

Yeah it was vs a hooman...

If you send early, do you sometimes get caught out at third?

IDK, maybe I'm crazy but I feel like when I should be tagging up I get the L1 prompt. If I don't, I usually agree it's an iffy call even if it's with a faster runner against a weak arm, and typically will only send there if I NEED the run and it's worth the risk. Taking account for the arms/depth of the fly ball/runner speed for both tags to 3rd and Home (even to 2nd), I'd say I've had expected results and I can't say this is anywhere near the top of my concerns. My 2 cents FWIW.
