How SDS let that happened ? I like you SDS but you [censored] up in this one. Soto hitting attributes combined with his quirks makes him even more dangerous in the batter box than legends such as Ruth. Speaking of quirks, how come old timer cards (Awards, Primes, Veterans, ...) lack the dynamic quirks (breaking ball hitter 👀) the live cards (Finest and Postseason) have ? With the quirks, Finest and Postseason cards are the most dangerous in the game. Case in point Soto.

I'm fine with it, it's fun to use so many juiced current young stars

If they never got to use him, they have no idea what you're talking about. Absolutely the best card ever.

I love being able to use current players on my best team for ranked. I think it’s pretty fun. And most finest don’t stack up to the legends like Soto does

they didn't have as many breaking balls back then, so it would be a good reason why they wouldn't have that quirk.

Nothing but respect for MY president.

Seriously, his card in '17 was Baseball Jesus.

That Beltran card was SO good.

Soto feels like Ted Williams with worse defense (bad animations).

17 Beltran was the last card that put fear in EVERYBODY. People would walk him even if you had two on. I feel like 17 was the last year cards played to their ratings. Meaning 99 meant something special and there was just a select few. Now there are weak 99s, average 99s and Good 99s. I just don’t feel there is that small elite 3 or 4 cards that strike fear in your opponent.

There have always been breaking balls in baseball... what? I guess if you’re saying there weren’t as many types then that’s fair, but by the 40’s pitches has developed beyond curveballs. Even so, a breaking ball is a breaking ball.

yeah, I meant with the variation of breaking balls, there was very little other than the curveball

Purely in terms of ratings on the card, Juan Soto this year has been better than any other baseball player dead or alive. He not only eclipsed the greatest seasons of your basic scrub players like Babe Ruth, Ken Griffey Jr and Mickey Mantle on the hitting side, he also managed to outdo the entire career of Ted Williams, who’s card is based upon the best of his best across all years. Not bad, but he hasn’t hit his prime yet. They’re going to have to increase the scale to 200 in order to accurately represent just how much better than say - prime Willie Mays and Hank Aaron? - Juan Soto will be in a year or two, because he’s already maxed out the 125 scale.

Unreal. Soto is a two tool player. He can hit and hit for power. He is a slow runner, an average fielder and plays LF because of a shoddy arm and yet he is better than a whole Wing of Players at the Cooperstown museum. Makes sense🙄

I get it, really I do. I know he is popular amoung today's fans but making him the best hitter in the game based off a 60 game schedule (which is a small sample size based on a 162 game schedule) is just a bit overboard for me.

Sadly all they have to base it off is a 60 game schedule. Not fair to discredit his card when he didn't play any fewer games than anyone else

Every year people complain that current players are not viable in people's line ups well SDS found away to make current day players viable in line ups now people are mad they have juiced attributes.

Who cares have fun with it, its a fantasy mode things dont have to make sense in fact that is what makes this year so much more fun cause they let things go a little more bonkers then in years past.

Just look at the team builds you can do its unreal the amount of life the finest cards, 2020 PS cards, TN and POTM brought to this years game
