Can we not talk about the corona virus on these threads. It’s already a way over abused topic everywhere. We get it there’s a a new virus. Everything closing is absurd. They didn’t do this for SARS, Ebola, H1n1 or any of the other MORE DEADLY virus’ they didn’t have medicine for. This is a concern but it’s blown way out of proportion because of an incompetent media and unintelligent masses.

One must understand that those more deadly contagions happened at a time when those in charge of propaganzing things like this were far less inclined to use them.
And it is not a new virus and yes it is way out of proportion. Sad no doubt but way out of proportion the coverage. -

I definitely understand the sentiment as it is all over media, but it is hard to ignore it because it could potentially have an affect on the game that we are all here to discuss. It all depends on what actions MLB will take.

That's the beauty of America. We are free to post and discuss the topic and you are free to choose not to click on the subject and only read the ones you are interested in.
Unfortunately, this topic has correlation to this game. So I believe it has a place for discussion and those that wish to not participate are not forced to do so.

That’s because you don’t read or get informed. The problem for Corona is that you can have the virus and be contagious 4 days BEFORE displaying symptoms, not the case for SARS and Ebola. H1N1 was an influenza. Just because authorities were being careless before doesn’t mean we should continue to act like it. With the overpopulation now, it will be more and more common. Panic? No, but not dismissive either.

I have a wife that has progressive MS, she's on a Chemo like treatment that leaves her with little white blood cells in her body, my stepdaughter had heart surgery as a baby so her heart disease now becomes an issue, i'm in WA state and for some of us this is a real worry.

Actually I read a lot. The corona virus is way less lethal. Do the math. We have a VACCINE for the flu and it kills 20-40 THOUSAND people a year. No vaccine for corona and it’s up to 4000 since the END OF DECEMBER. The cases in America have all been less then severe and/or no symptoms. It’s also not airborne. They are finding its surface based. This will die out. And it will pop back up next year and there will be a vaccine and it will kill zero people. And the flu will still kill 30k again WITH. Vaccine.
Don’t believe the hype.
