Is Griffey still profitable ?
-
He’s going to be 125-160k. I just paid 500k today because I didn’t want to wait.
-
He’s the only boss, so getting the 11th inning voucher is basically free. I assume a lot of people are probably going to lock him in for the 30K rebate and 75 stars, and also just because he’s Griffey. I expect him to stay high.
-
I sold mine yesterday for $516k and right before they announced Mays. I think the fact he is the only boss meaning there will be more of him than any other boss card and with Mays being released he will be around $200k.
Trout, Cobb, Mantle, Walker, Griffey, Mays, etc.. who do you pick? There is no wrong answer but I have a feeling people will sell Griffey to buy Mays.

You really think he'll be that low? I was guessing he'll sit around 250-300K.

I dunno, basically everyone gets the card just for playing this month. Not everyone wants the card. Those that do will keep it. Those that don’t will sell it, but who to? Those that want him will already have him. So, once there’s enough Griffeys earned at 300, supply will outstrip remand and his price will drop.
-
Gotta remember since he's the only boss some will hang onto him just for the 75 stars for next inning. I doubt he drops below 200k.

That’s a pretty well thought out point....most people will eventually hit 300 stars, so who will still need him and need to pay 250 plus for him...

There are plenty of newcomers and peeps that haven't played since inception that don't have the walkers, mantles, etc... Griffen gives them an end game card to compete. The demand will be there

Well that’s another reason for it to drop because the new comers will not rather have a 300k card in their lineup and everybody around is bad. I rather sell that 300k card and spread the stubs around my team

I’m not saying everyone has Mantle and Walker, I’m saying newcomers have a great chance of hitting 300 stars and not having to buy Griffey, therefore his price staying high seems doubtful. But who knows, if they have stubs, maybe they don’t bother earning him

I’m 30 stars away and he’s currently sitting at 490k ish , I don’t know if I can make profit . What price will he Settled at ?
If you get something for free and sell it for a price higher than free, it’s profitable.

He will go down a lot more just sell and buy later no way he stays above 200k
He'll go down, but not as much as people think. He is an endgame piece, THE endgame piece with Mays and Chipper for most. And most will keep him
That card doesn’t even make my bench. With Trout, Arozarena, Mantle being the best outfield cards available. Sorry but that card was released way too late to make much of a difference at this point. Pretty disappointing if you ask me.
