He'll go down, but not as much as people think. He is an endgame piece, THE endgame piece with Mays and Chipper for most. And most will keep him

Based on what previous OF bosses are going for, I’d disagree. Cobb is 180,000 and walker is 250,000 and statistically Griffey is better than those two. Certainly how you play with one of the cards influence their success, but I think the general consensus is Griffey above both of them. If that’s the case, more people hold onto Griffey and his price doesn’t drop. You’re also later in the game cycle so less people altogether.

The wrinkle to this is Mays. Being a WS reward if people can only buy him, they might sacrifice Griffey for stubs.

That's not really a fair comparison though. Griffey is the ONLY boss, whereas those cards weren't picked as much since there were two other options.

That being said I doubt he drops below 200k, I'm just saying that's not entirely accurate a comparison.

There will be the first wave this weekend.....those who complete all missions and redeem voucher for 75 points. Then the next wave will be next player program and or conquest map that will lower price. I don’t see him going much below 250k though.

They ruined griffey by putting the shift on him. It’s a joke and just shows that SDS doesn’t understand baseball

Griffey was very popularly shifted upon during his career.

    https://www.deseret.com/2000/4/5/19500063/griffey-seeing-an-infield-shift <That is an article from 2000

Here is another article detailing what happens to the top 7 hitters that were shifted upon at the time, Ken Griffey Jr was on that list
    https://actasports.com/blog/does-the-ted-williams-shift-make-sense/

It's so funny how many people accuse SDS of not knowing baseball, when they are in fact the ones clueless,

He’s going to be 125-160k. I just paid 500k today because I didn’t want to wait.

He’s the only boss, so getting the 11th inning voucher is basically free. I assume a lot of people are probably going to lock him in for the 30K rebate and 75 stars, and also just because he’s Griffey. I expect him to stay high.

I sold mine yesterday for $516k and right before they announced Mays. I think the fact he is the only boss meaning there will be more of him than any other boss card and with Mays being released he will be around $200k.

Trout, Cobb, Mantle, Walker, Griffey, Mays, etc.. who do you pick? There is no wrong answer but I have a feeling people will sell Griffey to buy Mays.

You really think he'll be that low? I was guessing he'll sit around 250-300K.

I dunno, basically everyone gets the card just for playing this month. Not everyone wants the card. Those that do will keep it. Those that don’t will sell it, but who to? Those that want him will already have him. So, once there’s enough Griffeys earned at 300, supply will outstrip remand and his price will drop.

Gotta remember since he's the only boss some will hang onto him just for the 75 stars for next inning. I doubt he drops below 200k.

That’s a pretty well thought out point....most people will eventually hit 300 stars, so who will still need him and need to pay 250 plus for him...

There are plenty of newcomers and peeps that haven't played since inception that don't have the walkers, mantles, etc... Griffen gives them an end game card to compete. The demand will be there

Well that’s another reason for it to drop because the new comers will not rather have a 300k card in their lineup and everybody around is bad. I rather sell that 300k card and spread the stubs around my team

I’m not saying everyone has Mantle and Walker, I’m saying newcomers have a great chance of hitting 300 stars and not having to buy Griffey, therefore his price staying high seems doubtful. But who knows, if they have stubs, maybe they don’t bother earning him

If you get something for free and sell it for a price higher than free, it’s profitable.

That card doesn’t even make my bench. With Trout, Arozarena, Mantle being the best outfield cards available. Sorry but that card was released way too late to make much of a difference at this point. Pretty disappointing if you ask me.
